There are some little beasts in that age group. I remember a case in Germany where a 13 year old girl was earning money by giving blow jobs to men in a pub car park, it only came out because she tried to get one of her classmates to join in, instead she told her mother who reported it to the police. It ended with the police taking her to the pub to identify her previous customers, about half the pub were arrested.

Additionally they mention financial transactions which indicates a bank transfer and not cash. A 13 year old probably doesn't have a bank account so if this is the case then he paid an adult.

We're talking about a 13-year-old Thai girl, who certainly doesn't speak English or French. But the French man met her at the bar where her mother worked, convinced her to accompany him to a place to stay, and paid her via bank transfer.

Obviously, someone else was involved who was prostituting the girl. And the police should investigate this and not limit themselves to arresting just the Frenchman.

If they're solid evidence to back up the claims of sexual acts with a 13-year-old I would advocate the death penalty, and I would encourage that it be carried out within 30 days, without possibility of appeal. 

 

Granted there would be an outcry around the world and people would be equating Thailand with a truly savage nation like the Saudis, but it's quite a different story. In addition to the Saudis carrying out rather extreme forms of punishment they also have the most hateful and extremist version of Islam on the planet to contend with.
