Trump’s former surgeon general is now one of his most pointed critics

former U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams

Jerome Adams, President Trump’s first-term surgeon general, is becoming one of the most prominent voices speaking out against the public health policies and decisions carried out in the president’s second term.  Adams, known as a relatively low-profile member of the Trump administration during his tenure, has in recent weeks gone on something of a media campaign against the White House’s health care choices.

During the pandemic, Adams at times broke from Trump, such as when the president downplayed the death toll of COVID-19 or suggested injecting bleach to combat infections.  But now that he’s on the outside looking in, the criticism is becoming more frequent.

...

Adams has made veiled criticisms against Trump’s latest surgeon general nominee, and he’s spoken out directly against Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s decision to fire every member of a key vaccine advisory panel. The ex-surgeon general has focused his criticism on the lack of credentials of those being placed in top administration positions and what that might mean for public health.

That lie of Trump suggesting to inject bleach to combat infections has been debunked countless times already.

It speaks volumes that the Hill is still repeating it and that you keep on posting it...

No he did not  say bleach, but he suggested disinfectant.

Can't believe I even need to post something like this. Show the levels of media brainwashing

Disinfectants in Healthcare

The use of disinfectants in household and surgical settings involves different levels of disinfection based on the type of equipment and the risk of infection. In household settings, noncritical patient-care devices such as blood pressure cuffs can be disinfected with an EPA-registered hospital disinfectant following the label's safety precautions and use directions.2 Most EPA-registered hospital disinfectants have a label contact time of 10 minutes,

If I were the author of The Hill's article, I wouldn't have made the "bleach" reference, when what Trump exactly said referring to "disinfectant" and UV light inside the body in regards to COVID were equally rubbish nonsense, not surprisingly, as everyone understood at the time.

But, none of that changes the main point of the above article, and that is that Trump's own hand-picked former surgeon general is assailing his current public health policies and the loons like RFK Jr. and other figures with questionable qualifications that he or his minions have appointed to various public health positions in his current administration.

As for Trump the first time around:

Coronavirus: Outcry after Trump suggests injecting disinfectant as treatment

24 April 2020

...

"So, supposing we hit the body with a tremendous - whether it's ultraviolet or just very powerful light," the president said, turning to Dr Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response co-ordinator, "and I think you said that hasn't been checked but you're going to test it.

"And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside of the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said you're going to test that too. Sounds interesting," the president continued.

"And then I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning? "So it'd be interesting to check that."  Pointing to his head, Mr Trump went on: "I'm not a doctor. But I'm, like, a person that has a good you-know-what." [emphasis in BOLD added above]

What's your point?  Injecting disinfectant into a human will not "cure"  Covid. Perhaps if they were vaccinated with the glorious Russian Sputnik vaccine.................

The video is quite obvious. It was irresponsible. There were people listening and watching who takes what he says as the gospel truth.

There were multiple poisonings because of the use of disinfectants such as chlorine dioxide, a bleach type disinfectant.

International Journal of Medicine and Medical Sciences, The chlorine dioxide controversy: A deadly poison or a cure for COVID-19?

Mitchell Brent Liester  Vol.13(2), pp. 13-21 , September 2021

In the wake of President Trump suggesting that disinfectants might be injected to treat COVID-19, a number of Americans were hospitalized for ingesting cleaning agents, and at least three people were charged with criminal offenses for selling chlorine-based products as remedies for the disease.

One can argue it was an irresponsible thing to say, but anyone claiming he said to inject bleach or a disinfectant is a liar, or a moron.

It seemed clear to me that what he was saying, and I am called stupid endlessly.

I think the press was being irresponsible.

The press was irresponsible?

The video does not lie,Trump said what he said.

The only person irresponsible (and very stupid) was and is Trump.

That is clear to me.

Bit like a game of chess. All the trash talk; 'I will destroy you', 'Your queen will be captured and subjected to horrific verbal abuse'. What matters is not the talk, it's the next move.

Trump said what he said, and it was irresponsible for the press to lie about he said. There are still a lot of buffoons that believe them.
