Extreme techniques:

Deep tissue massage, especially when applied with excessive pressure or range of motion, carries a higher risk of injury. Spinal cord or vertebral artery injuries, blood clots…May be the causes..

RIP

To the patient of heart disorder and diabetes?

I nave heard that a few hears ago.

More of an unfortunate ending....

Maybe a "Happy Ending"!

An Aussie dying of a massage in Koh Samui.

Same thing happened to Shane Warne.

Why would the let his sleep for hours in their parlor?  Very shady.  RIP.

How do you propose a. massage be delivered?  Standing on one's head? Perhaps with feet in the air while balancing on a chair?

100%. I had a great masseuse here, but had to tell her my neck was off limits. Don't touch it. Like many here, she loved to forcefully crank it well past a comfortable range of motion. And of course "crack" it. They seem to think the popping sound, like cracking your knuckles, is therapeutic. It is not. But it is very risky. More than a few strokes have resulted from this risky practice. Even from skilled chiropractors. Basically keep them far away from any part of your spine.

What you say may or may not be true, but I would put money on his massage being more soft and sexy instead of deep tissue.

I wonder what his wife thought when he presumably said to her at midnight "I'm just popping out for a massage." I know what my wife would think.

Never known Thailand to have all night massage parlours especially on the islands I’ve always said I would happily die if I was enjoying a happy ending ! What’s the name and location of the massage parlour! RIP to the deceased at least he doesn’t have to explain to loved ones back home as to what he was up to !

The massage is opposite the former Kasikorn bank building in Chaweng,  there is iHerbs massage in the former bank building, part of the established iHerbs chain. The two massages are just opposite each other, iHerbs closes before midnight.

This place opened recently, there are close to 10 girls there sitting all day around on the stairs with open legs and short skirts😄Most are middle aged, overweight and not very attractive. Most of the times they seem to be all outside, not many takers.

It functions in area where there are no similar places next to it, it is mostly old established businesses. Most don't seem to be happy that they moved in from what I know.

Rhabdomyolysis from deep tissue massage?

If you see the masseuses, you'll figure out in 3 seconds that they are not into deep tissue massage 🤣

Seems like massages can suck the life out of people at times.

no one in human his has ever died from weed consumption

There are a few recorded cases of people dying from possibly cannabis-induced complications of an existing medical condition, but these are inconclusive. While most experts agree that it is not possible to smoke a lethal dose of cannabis in most cases, this does not mean that it is a harmless substance.

i suppose it makes sense you would project your own motivations onto others.

then again there are those of us for whom a massage is just a massage.

I always wondered what would happen if they hit a pressure point, most would not be trained to avoid them

Basically looks like all other massage BEDS.

2 by 3 meters?

Where was it reported that the bed measured 3m x 2m?

the whole report seems to describe exactly what happened and appears to be the truth ... or maybe is there something missing?

Australian news repoted that he left his wife and family  in their villa   and went out for a massage  ) Police called  and found him dead on the massage table. Not a happy ending for him but he woudn't have had a happy ending if his wife had of caught him either. He apparently felt tired afterwards and asked to stay for a nap At 4am he was found dead and police were called and they found a bag of suspected cocaine in his pocket. He was the principle of GLG Lawyers in Melbourne and very well respected. It,s very sad as he had a wife and young family. I think   there's more to this story  to come out yet.

My guess is that he was so accustomed to the unattractive cows from Australia that he had a heart attack when he saw the site of an attractive Thai body.
