The aim of the minerals deal, for Trump, was to pay back what the U.S. gave Ukraine. He declared it publicly. 🙂

 

The main reason Trump has decided to help Ukraine again is because he only starts now to realise that Putin fooled him. For months, Trump has promoted Putin's POV about the Ukraine war.
