Immigration should send him back to his country and blacklist him for the standard 10 years

  • I would worry about the thousands that are coming, they care not a jot about Thailand or your culture  just look at what is happening in Europe

  • Is bob back. Maybe, it didn't work out in Portugal.

The humanitarian concern of the locals is touching - I would imagine it involves, arrest, detention and deportation (at his own expense).

None of which they have done because he has a valid visa.

have many locals homeless in town

what town is that? In Thailand there is very little real homelessness because people can stay at any temple and be fed as well...

You're not allowed to be that poor in Thailand—unless you're a Thai national.

He's not a Buddhist he's a Shia Muslim  from Iran.

You seem to know him? No empathy to help him?

Could he be a Mossad agent I wonder?

I can see you are like, so many on this forum.

Devoid of a sense of humor.

Why?  His documentation is valid.

Only someone who didn't bother to read the OP would imagine that.

. I don't know what became of him except that another one of the many expats who try to become authors was going to write a book about his exploits "homeless in Pattaya"

I remember excerpts from that book appearing in one of the free local newspapers that used to be available.  He played them pretty well, like the oddly deformed Dutch guy who also gamed the local expat community quite effectively.

So many of them these days.

I look out of place.

Would you blend in?

Are you buying the beers? If so, I'll meet up. Don't forget to invite Bob, he's always good for a chuckle.

He’s Fly tipping, that’s another ฿2k fine

It's not!  An iced espresso costs 60 baht at Amazon.

Residents have called on relevant authorities to take more concrete action and implement long-term solutions.

Suggesting a pair of concrete boots?   Too much?

Some of you may remember the homeless German man who hung around the LK Metro-Soi Diana area in 2010-11.  He was NOT a beggar and mostly refused offers of food or money.

I and numerous others offered to give him food and clothes, but he said he didn't want them.  Once when he was sitting near  the intersection of Soi Diana and 2nd Rd, I said I'd get him a takeaway meal from Kiss Food.  He told me her didn't like the food at Kiss and asked me if I knew of a hotel buffet!  He may not have been a beggar,  but he sure was choosy!

Eventually the foot without the flip-flop got so badly infected and swollen I thought it would turn into gangrene.  In October 2011,  his physical and mental condition deteriorated so far the Immigration Police picked him up and deported him back to Germany.  Unfortunately, no one knows the full story or at least isn't willing to post it on a forum.

Yeah, drown him!  Brilliant idea.

What a sad bunch of people we have on here.

So.... he's like all the other "tourists" that choose Pattaya as a destination.

I wonder how he fills up his TM30 form 🤪

Or how the police had to be informed about his lifestyle on the beach.

How come they didn't know?

Because they stay indoors on their phones?

How many complaints need to be made before immigration and police get off theirs butts?

If they did what they’re paid to do I suspect he won’t be staying in the kingdom much longer.

OK, I'm buying the beers but don't mention Bob, he's a four letter word.

Looking at the above comments some members here are offended by the word BOB 😂

May I suggest you buy yourself a sense of humour?   It makes the world a bit less depressing.

Well, I suppose he doesn’t really fit the profile of quality tourist that TAY is supppsedly targeting.

He presumably has at least some money, because he has to do visa runs every two months or so. Not sure the actual requirements for Iranian nationals.

I suppose immigration should be ready to pounce if he overstays. Meantime, in most countries I think it’s illegal to sleep overnight on a beach.
