If you had ever actually been at any of these sites along the border you would know that that's exactly how it worked until a few days ago. More or less cheerful soldiers from both sides intermingling & posing together for tourist photos. Sometimes more friendly than others, sometimes joking about "No, you should be on the other side of that line there" giggle giggle.

Best solution to this conflict is build 2 care-homes (with walls around them) and put certain politicians from both sides INSIDE.

While Thailand's tariffs on imported goods are punishingly high, the new US tariffs are not an economic move. They're just another way for tRump to throw his considerable weight around or, in some cases, to exact revenge for perceived mistreatment.

When Mr Trump was talking about building a wall along America's southern border there was already 1200km of border fences in S E Europe to keep out illegal migrants.
