Real art will never be outdated, as tattoos will ...... indeed the decision you make is for a lifetime, even if you regret it you can't get rid of it anymore, while art you can put away on an attic

Tatts are dumb schitt.   Tatts are only for Japanese yakuza. No one else ought to get them.   Always hate it when my favourite porno girls get inked.

  • Nowadays everybody seems to be tattooed... Even young kids are mutilated for the rest of their lives.. I don't understand why, where does it come from?? In some tribes and countries it is a tradition

The pic in the OP is a stock photo, not the one on the 14 year old.

Tattoos are a form of expression and art. You see them on all types and sizes of people worldwide. Everyone in my family besides myself and my 8 year old daughter have them, and I'm thinking she will also as she sees all her siblings with them. I don't see a problem with nice little ones on a shoulder or upper arm but that's me. Even my dad had one. It's a way of freedom and unless they are gang tattoos, they're just a way to show they can do what they like. Many different reasons they get them and it's their deal and has little to do with what kind of person they are, besides the before mentioned gang tattoos. Laws against children having them are necessary of course, as their brains aren't fully developed until their mid twenties to give them a chance to have more level headed thinking.

Imo only very low class people or wrong guided let their skin destroy.

The maga people can take off their caps, but tattoo people can't change their skin. But both have something in common.

Doesn't look too bad. Brave boy.

However, this Tattoo nonsense is just fashion showing the downturn of Western culture, now arrived in Thailand.

To destroy your own skin is one of the idiotic things in these days.

the culture appears to be look hard, shave yer head, cover yourself in tatoos pierce everything be as narcissistic as  possible try to  look like the incredible hulk with a dont give a ferk entitled attitude, dont forget to stick thos big  rubba  lips on your face to finish it off............no wonder I dont like the world much around me as thats fast becoming the new normal.

Forget politeness being quiet and manners............welcome to look at me im considerably richer than yow are .............except we owe it  all on our  credit card and will complain to the govt if we have to pay it back

I love the YouTube video ❤️💖👍

A vacillating social construct.  Some think it’s trendy and cool, others think it’s regrettable self-mutilation by the insecure. Some get obsessed and get dozens, not necessarily with any context or artistic overview. That seems warped.

My Mrs has a small one covering a scar.  Cultutally appropriate and aesthetic.
But I never had one, never saw anything I knew I wanted 50 years later.  Now it is 50 years later from when I could have started and I still agree I’m glad I never got one.

And some never grow up mentally even after their 20's🤣

My question is: where did the kid get the money for this?

Tattoos are “art” in the same way that stickers stuck on the back of pickups are art.

I do not give a whit if people I don’t know get ink, but I would try to discourage my friends and family from such idiocy

Long, long time ago, tattoos were the mark of warriors and brave men who had to earn those markings, nowadays, well,

do I really have to paint a picture here? to me, nothing is more off-putting than a tattooed woman, especially the young one.

I believe that somewhere in middle Europe, sometime near the end of the middle of the last century, there was a fashion for human skin lampshades. If you put one, carrying a tattoo, in the attic, does it become art?

I still observe upper classes rejecting tattoos. I suppose the 14 years old will not be visiting onset in Japan wager tattoos are seen as a reflection of the criminal element.

Tattoo motive in SE Asia.

One example: Often as the the part of their amulet culture.

As an extention of such under their skin.

image.jpeg.acf1bd7e724ebdf5b766fd8d518bc4d8.jpeg

In the west and NE Asia, seemingly from thedifferent concept.

Sometimes for  intimidation purpose(to show others where they belong).

As often demonstrated by Japan's Yamuna mobsters

Some American cops are said to do it for the similar aim; mentally scaring criminals.

image.jpeg.f3bf5beab0ad6ae2dd9632191b20503c.jpeg  image.jpeg.f552bfd6ba12810322c2fb0b7bc060a6.jpeg

image.jpeg.81d9200db1743dc2c019c569ea786b15.jpeg

For some people, just as the kind of  "fashion".

While quite a few young NE Asians are often said to regret for getting ink under their skin.

As it often result in partial social expulsion; narrowing their job prospect in some field(public services), not allowed into public pool etc in some country.

In such a case, tattoos are strongly regarded as the symbol of criminal/anti-social elements due to their past history.

Used as the documentation method of the criminal offenders, in ancient time.

That is part of the problem,i knew a girl who was covered in (bad) tattoos ,she never had to pay for them.

New "artists" practiced on her, mistakes and all.

The only difference between people with tattoos and those without is that people with tattoos don't care if you don't have any tattoos.

We don't care if they have them, it's a good laugh

It was young ones copying their idols that started the trend, same as many trends, eg baseball caps wrong way around, pants waistband below your butt.

Taken several sessions to do that amount & expensive for a 14 year old

Perhaps the parlor did it on credit, Dad didn't pay and has used the complaint to escape payment

Did you notice this remark below the picture in the OP?

its just copycatting.............then you become no different to anyone else

They are what you call sheep, doing things because other people do them, same with all these guys with facial hair these days, it used to be mostly people with unattractive faces that  grew facial hair, but now even good looking guys have it. When I was a young teenager and long hair came into fashion I liked it so I grew my hair long but again I proved I was not a sheep as I kept my hair long all my life and it is still long.

Oh! and while I'm here, let's see all the thumbs down emo's from all these posters who are members of the "thumbs down" brigade.

Tattoos actually started thousands of years ago. Modern day tattooing began with sailors in the south Pacific. Whenever anyone starts a practice, some will definitely follow, no matter what it is. Tattoos are an art form for the body. If done with morality and not out of anger, as art and to make a nice statement, they aren't a problem as it's their choice.

True, a true narcissist acts like they're still a toddler with more intelligence.

Tattoos have little to do with class. Class is how a person carries themselves and how they treat others. I've seen many un tatted people with major arrogance and a sociopathic personality and many with tattoos who were the nicest, most helpful people I've ever met.

Yes, only the most stupid got and get a tattoo. Right!❤️

Nothing to do with intelligence. My dad had a genius IQ and he had one, as did a few others I know who are very intelligent business owners.

Sit down and untwist your undies before you hurt yourself, you sad git

From the OP:

......particularly in fields requiring a clean image, like government positions

Boy, this man has a lot to learn. 😀

For a kid this young to get any kind of tattoo much less something major like this one is about a silly as a 13 or 14 year old deciding that they want to become a ladyboy. They just don't have the maturity to make a decision like that, and the parents are totally to blame for running amuck and not having any consciousness or awareness of what their child is doing with their life.

If you're going to arrest anyone, arrest mom or dad.

Mate, keep up with the discussion, I am fully aware of tattoo history..but obviously you are far too young to know that tattoos, up until maybe the nineties, early 200p, tattoos were mainly for the worst of society..most people, men and woman, did not have tattoos, then a feemww music artists started to get them, followed by movie actors, that trend took off...so stop trying to be a smart arse..you will fail.

A 14 year old boy. He’s still a kid and demonstrated how stupid he is by thinking having a tattoo of that size wouldn’t have repercussions for him or the tattoo parlour.
Questions have to be asked about the shop carrying out their obligations lawfully and actually getting parental permission, or did the kid lie like 14 kids do?
Either way he’s got the attention he wanted but for all the wrong reasons.
