But even if he ended up in Camobida, he would not be able to get a passport from the embassy.

...maybe he has more than one passport.

It doesn't take a genius what is attracting these sorts of men to Thailand. Over the past few years we've seen masses of them arrive in Thailand.

Those, without a brain, who get kicks out of dangerous, to others, acts should get long sentences.

Assuming he's guilty, he made a massive mistake and his mistake directly resulting in a death.

However, it's obvious  that killing someone wasn't premeditated and wasn't the intention.

I don't know what a "fair" punishment should  be for that.

I dont suppose there are many people who didn't do something totally stupid when they were around his age, fortunately for most of us what we did back then didn't result in another's death.

He deserves to be punished and pay for his recklessness and one way or another I'm sure he will be.

Most probably over to Cambodia with the porous border control. Then go to embassy to get exit papers .

Definitely hope they file an Interpol Red Notice for this clown.  Maybe need to offer an award for info leading to his arrest.

Thailand needs to make an example out of him that certain acts and behavior will Not be tolerated.

Hopefully Thailand has already notified the Embassies.  Then they can detain him while that country arrests him. Then he can be extradited and held no bail because of flight risk

Cambodia is not the only that borders Thailand.

Only a sector that was disputed border has land mines ….

Thailand has extradition orders with the UK...and if he doesn't go back there is interpol to find him....but most likely he's still in Thailand

IF he has fled, I doubt the cops will do much to get him back. Maybe they might file some paperwork in an initial spurt of activity, but otherwise it would have back burner written all over it.

Hopefully he is still in Thailand and will face a court here.

How the hell do you get a sentence like that for dealing??????

Yeah I agree..what a nightmare for everyone involved.

He may indeed be a "bad" f-rang but I think as expats we should be favoring fair treatment for all involved in such "international incident" tragedies. Obviously justice for the victim and her family but also reasonably fair and equal to Thais treatment in the justice system for the accused. It seems as if he's probably be going to be treated worse just for being a foreigner. No foreigner here should think that's a good thing.

Pay somebody to take him over the border to Cambodia, they will not send him back.

If he's crossing over to Cambodia hope he steps on some landmines

I was once told that for the right fee, someone could be driven to the Cambodian border by the Thai cops and be met on the other side by a helpful friend

Not beyond the realm of possibility.  This, after all, is Thailand.  A sad situation for all concerned.

I don’t know. I recall many years ago a guy was shot in Pattaya by two guys ion a scooter. They were western scammers operating in Thailand, and it was a revenge hit. Anyway, both fled to Cambodia … and I don’t think they were ever detained? I’ve always wondered what happened to them? So it might be possible.

if anyone knows … please comment.

Brandon Mills, the 22-year-old British tourist facing charges in Thailand for a fatal scooter crash in Pattaya (August 14, 2025), cannot legally obtain another UK passport in a neighboring country if Thai police have seized his passport. UK law requires reporting a seized passport as lost or stolen, and a replacement application must be made through a UK embassy or consulate (e.g., in Cambodia, Laos, or Vietnam). However, Thai authorities would likely notify neighboring embassies via diplomatic channels, and Mills’ status as a suspect (facing up to 10 years for reckless driving causing death) would flag him in passport systems (HM Passport Office, 2025). Embassies verify identity and legal status, and a replacement would be denied or reported to Thai police.

No sympathy for this guy showing off on a motor bike

Then causing a accident

Deserves time in a Thai jail plus compensation to the girls family

Taking his passport away will not deter him if he wants to run away from Thailand

Convicted drug dealer gets into Thailand and recklessly kills someone... Sounds like he could use a 10 yr nap in the clink.

Book the bloke in accordance with the law but then please carry on the good work and book everyone else driving drunk or without driving license by the same standards.

I am aware that Thailand would have to increase jail space on a factor of ten but apply, what the Thai constitution says, i.e. that everybody is the same in front of the law 😉

A crime on a thai citizen? That would be a new low if they wanted to wash their hands of the problem. Isn't that what the police and justice is for?

I highly doubt this was their motivation to release him.

Only been on for 5 mins....and got my LOL of the day.

Should be longer but is it fair when the RedBull guy killed a police officer and had never been brought to justice ooops I forgot one is a dirty farang the other a very wealthy Thai !!!!

The 'hang ém high' crowd arrived early this morning. Ranting like madmen as per usual.

Firs of all, it wasn't the rider blaming the woman after the accident, but his friend explaining how he saw it. But let's not the video evidence get in the way of a good story. As to his conviction for dealing as a young offender, it would seem more likely that he was a courier/delivery boy, hence the suspended sentence.

He did a stupid thing, exacerbated by it being a electric bike. Normally you would hear the idiot in the vicinity, but if it's a quiet bike, it's entirely possible that the lady had no idea of an approaching vehicle.

Him sitting in prison for ten years would do no good to anyone and I'm sure there is no intention to subject him to such a punishment. Compensation should be the order.

If you get your passport confiscated, they report it to the person's embassy immediately. No chance of him getting a new passport or even a temporary in another country.

It’s not difficult to get a fake passport

No idea what a "Northerner" is , obviously from the North of England?

Is that a "lower" class area of England?

There are low class areas all over the world, one area that does stand out though is Pattaya, it is a magnet for all the low class people from around the world.

A good lawyer with the right connections helps him to get a lot less, (from personal knowledge) the question is, dose this guy have enough dosh to facilitate this action?
