Brace yourself for the tin foil hatters.

Call Chiangmai Ram Hospital and ask

Tel: +66-(0)52-004699

Oh. You'll pay alright.

Even though the anti-vaxxers make me laugh I don't get any boosters as I reckon that the risk of Covid complications doesn't balance with the time, cost and infinitesimal probability of harmful effect of the vaccine.

I got one Johnson & Johnson and four Moderna shots though.

May I suggest ChatGPT is your friend?

I plugged in the available options and got following advice on availability.

Bangkok Hospital may be your ticket. Expensive.
Boston Health. No prices.

Chiang Mai Medical Health Clinic.

I happen to get Flu vaccines from CM MediClinic, just North of Maya. They also respond quickly to emails.

A couple of off-topic attempts to derail the thread have been removed.

A reminder, the topic is "Where to get latest covid vax in Chiang Mai".

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Well the collective stupidity that is Artificial Intelligence gives bad advice. CM Mediclinic, which I use for flu vax, does not list COVID vax as one of their services. When I asked them a short time ago they said it was not possible for them to get the vaccine. And Boston Polyclinic do not even list vaccinations as one of their services. That leaves Bkk Hospital which I will not use after two bad experiences there.

Sorry I cannot give positive advice. I am also searching for an answer.

You are definitely not up to date.  All the new variants and booster that have been available & recommended.  I'm surprised you're still alive.

I'm joking obviously, hopefully, obviously.   Quick Google, and good GOD, they still seem to be recommending every 6 months.   Even in 2025 ... WTF :cheesy:

Isn’t it amazing how all the “I follow the science” people don’t follow the science anymore and can now determine for themselves that it’s not necessary.

How times change. 😂

I went Sinovac, Pfizer, Moderna......then another booster, no idea what.

Had Covid twice for sure.......relatively mild, flu like for three/four days.

Never felt or been aware of any side-effects from the vaccines.

Really depends who's presenting and who's funding the science.   I don't follow the science, that I don't trust.  I use rational thinking and common sense, and my own knowledge or experiences, to decide what's right for me.  Along with listening to and possibly heeding the warnings of others, once researched.

Weigh the effectiveness, need and or risk to use or not use.  My body, my decision.  Not a fan of unapproved, or approved for emergency only chemicals injected into my body.  Especially when I'm not seeing any emergency.

Learned decades ago, not to trust govt, or folks that will make profits, when pushing a product or agenda.

Your body ... UP2U

I know I don't regret  not being vax'd, and sadly, can't say that about a few others that I know, that did get vax'd.

Who is recommending this, and for what groups of people?

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

A few points:

-Never said ChatGPT is the end-all of advice. However it does have value, especially with medical issues, of possibly pointing one in a helpful direction. One should do their own research.
-The fact that Boston P. doesn’t mention vaccines shouldn’t preclude someone from emailing and asking questions. For all you know, they may have suggestions on vaccine availability. Same goes for MediClinic, who will helpfully answer questions even if they can’t particularly offer the service.

-Your comments on Bangkok Hospital were frankly useless to the original poster. I’m sure I can find countless others with positive experiences at BH. And if they offer the vaccine….it’s a simple shot, not a complicated medical procedure.

-And finally, as to your “collective stupidity” comment, AI is still in many ways a nascent technology but no question paradigm shifting. Your comments may say more about you than this remarkable tech.

The most recent COVID-19 outbreak in Thailand is the COVID-19 NB. 1.8. 1 variant, a hybrid of the 2 Omicron strains, JN. 1 and XBB, descending to XDV.

I had the JN.1 vaccination in June 2025, expensive. But my foreign healthcare insurance covered 85% cost with Provider hospital.

In got an updated booster a year ago in the UK. I hope there will be a booster when I get the winter flu jab in a couple of weeks. There was a new variant around a year ago so seems you need at least one booster.

The new version just came out in the US. I'm not sure how long it will take to be available here.

I got Shingrix at CM MediClinic, and they had it before the hospitals, apparently. Shingrix is for shingles, and it's very effective, BTW. So it's worth checking there, too, for the latest covid jab.

At a large number of UK pharmacies you can get the Flu jab and Covid booster (dependent on age) at the same time commencing 1st October. Appointments can be booked online via the Gov.uk portal. Just booked an appointment for the two jabs for my 81 year old mother.
