Trump - Don't Talk to Me That Way

Featured Replies

So, let's take a poll.

Trump tells a reporter "I'm the President. Don't talk to me that way".

Is he arrogant? Authoritarian?

Or is there a generalized lack of respect in society for authority figures which is out of control?

After all, when you all had jobs, how did you keep your jobs for so long? By constantly attacking your boss or by being respectful?

But yet, people think it's perfectly normal to go on forums and attack the President 24/7.

Not only to attack, but make veiled threats about his violent downfall.

At some level, is there something wrong with the general population who cannot respect authority?

Hes pretty angry these days. Everything he worked for being exposed as detrimental to the US/ the west

It's his usual thin skin. He just can't stand being questioned, let alone criticism.

You can respect the position, but not the man.  The man has to earn respect.

Agree with Trump. Show respect. Reporters are like waiters.

This is from TWO administrations ago so how is it relevant today when the press are selectively hand picked to only be nice to him?!

It is old news from November 26, 2020, when then-President Trump snapped at Reuters reporter Jeff Mason during a White House press briefing on Thanksgiving. Mason pressed Trump on whether he'd concede the election to Joe Biden after the Electoral College vote, prompting Trump to say: "Don't talk to me that way. You're just a lightweight... I'm the president of the United States. Don't ever talk to the president that way."

He’s the POTUS, he can, does and will speak as he pleases as he should, especially if it annoys the left wingnuts.

Obama is a subvert, all cosmetics, you don’t get what you see and hear as with everything on the left.

You reap what you sow.
He can dish it out but his soft thin skin can’t take the slightest hint of criticism or scrutiny of his dubious ventures.
The guy is a bully and a fraud and this is one of the tools he uses to cover it up.

Not even close in your comparison. He’s an elected official and as such should be answerable to public scrutiny otherwise he’s just another wannabe despot.

Reporters doing their job is what they are doing and it has nothing to do with a lack of respect. He's a a$$hat and narcissistic megalomaniac so any perceived slight sets him off. His own mother said the same thing about him.

Does anyone remember that episode of The West Wing when Martin Sheen got all up in the jammies of the disrespectful shrew who didn't stand when he walked into the room?  Properly ripped her a new one for not respecting the office.

Probably gave millions of lefties an orgasm.

But when Trump does it, that's different.

to gain respect one must show respect to others. This is not something trump will do. The old saying "sow what you reap".

You judged whether or not Trump was being shown respect without including the audio of the reporter who asked the question. So based on his reaction, you believed that he wasn't being show respect? Clearly, he was being challenged on his election fraud claim and didn't like it.

The office of the President is generally respected automatically, however the occupant has to earn respect, which sadly Trump does not, nor does he understand that if he wants to be respected, then he has to change, to stop insulting people, to stop his tirades against people the HE believes don't like him.

he has to understand that he is in that position to aid ALL the American people, and NOT just the ones that like and support him. He is there to help the US allies and to help other countries and not to denigrate them on the world stage.

Until he can learn that lesson, he will never be respected,

Yes — Trump isn’t a TV president, though MAGAstan may think he is.
The reality is he’s a convicted criminal and a proven sex offender.

Gotta give him credit.  He's a master of trolling for lefties.

He had a pretty funny joke.

Reporter said they thought you were dead after not giving a press conference for 2 days.

He responded that Biden would go months without doing a press conference.

The biggest con job in the history of politics. The grifter is not fit enough to run a lemonade stand ,let alone a huge country like the States. He is a bully ,a standover if anyone says or does bad by him. Hell hath no fury like a weakling scorned.

Too late for that, plus he can't do that, simply not his personality.
