I'll take the family to Da Nang in couple of weeks, so I'' tell you when I am back.

How would be Perth for 3 weeks, to get my prostate embolised? I looked at hotels, they cost a fortune...

Don't listen to all that BS I migrated to Perth 40 years ago, never regret it. My Thai wife has been here for 22 years. We only fly to Thailand twice a year, and my wife earns about 80,000 AUD per year. I have a coffee machine, and 1 cup costs me less than 1AUD. Yes, hotels are expensive, but I don't live in a hotel. You just can not compare prices.

I pay cheaper for coffee in Australia

Another thing I liked about Vietnam is it appeared to be devoid of the stupid sexpat stuff you see in Thailand. It exists, you just don't see it much in daily life due to the stigma.

You need to grow up a little as a man to make it in Vietnam. If you are used to the Soi Bukhaou or whatever type scene in Pattaya where you can act like a goofball you probably won't like Vietnam.

Yes, Thailand sucks.  Too many sexpats.  Everyone should go to Vietnam.  Tell your friends.

LOL-Kind of Depends on your needs and "Lifestyle."  Good Luck in your search.

Blood Tests In Australia: Who Pays? | ShunCulture

I have never paid for a blood test in Australia

I get one every 6 weeks or so , it's bulk billed and paid by government under Medicare

Mind you ,if you want to be pedantic you have to pay the GP to get a referral for a blood test

Ask the guy in the mirror. He has all your answers and he's always there when you need him.

I liked Hanoi. I lived downtown and also by Tay Ho Lake for about a year total. Things were much cheaper (especially housing). I probably would have stayed there if they had a long term visa. I did not like Hcmc as much, but knew people who liked it. Cooler in Hanoi. I did not take to the oceanside towns as much. Da Lat is worth a visit if you can get up there. City of eternal spring. The women were nice, a sea of gorgeous women everywhere.

Went to Hanoi in March with my girlfriend. Definitely will return to Vietnam as I liked the ambience and food, plus need to see a lot more of the country next time.

I have been here for 14 years, and I agree with the OP. I too, will never go to Pattaya again. To be honest, I have no sympathy with guys moaning about how much they hate Thailand when what they actually mean is, that they hate Pattaya.

Pattaya is like LasVegas.  It’s good for two days.

There is not much you can do to prevent an enlarged prostate.   Aging sucks.

They want to avoid the entire area, not just the center area. The reason is the people there, not bars.

Thailand, and Pattaya, is certainly not for everyone.   But does Vietnam give Retirement visas/extensions?
