You said on Thursday that you were back in Australia. But you say you were at a Pattaya bar last night. You do it on purpose you silly billy.

Expats with money go to the same places as tourists occasionally. It's the broke dick ones who brag about knowing where something is cheaper.

You have to be quite a muppet to assume that expats cannot afford air-conditioned restaurants. Who comes up with such garbage?

My bill for the chocolate factory last Sunday night came to over 1600 baht including that dreaded service charge and VAT

Now this Frasers sports lounge is that mainly tourists or expats?

It's on that main Rd in Jomtien

I find the places that charge that dreaded service charge  mainly are  for tourists

Well, you are a tourist, a very sad tourist

Is that the sport bar opposite the hospital?

Nice bar on soi Buakhou, game of pool, cold pint of beer.

At times it's good to get away from the weirdos

No weirdos in Soi  Buakhou?

Plenty on soi Buakhou.

It's safe in the bar, inside, air-conditioned. I've never seen them inside.

Maybe your a rich one who did nothing but "take" from the system during your working life which was probably on taxpayers expense ,cushy pen pusher who called in sick every Monday morning

The other half who can't afford such luxurious life maybe on frozen pensions from the UK or on aussie old age pensioners living in Thailand on a fixed income

Did  you ever think that the majority of expats here work? Many also have nice pensions or investments to live off off. Do you really think the area you stay in South Pattaya is indicative of how expats live? Most expats in Pattaya dont even go into south Pattaya, sure some do, but the majority dont. The areas of Pong, Machachan, Ban Ampur, and even down to Ban Chang are popular with expats. Dont attempt any more studies as you are totally clueless.

They work in Thailand too?

you've said this before,

I have never seen an old expat stacking shelves at Foodland like you said ,the closest I saw was some old farang fixing machines at Tony's gym and a farang serving at Cheap Charlies Jomtien .

Of course theres a few old guys on Grindr with services available.

I think it's fantastic you work it gives you something to do and if your hard up more money

Thankyou for your service Sir and contribution to the Community and giving back rather than taking

No

I go to the big Indian nite clubs on walking street as they have really cheap drinks , cheap curries , friendly bouncers and great music. The best part is you just book everything up and come back the next day to settle your bin and get your fake Rolex back that you left as collateral.

I'm sure at least some tourists will eventually go to heaven.  No so sure about expats...

What are the toilets like there?

I remember going to that Issaan Concert place last visit on third Rd with another farang and his GF

The first thing I did was check the cleanliness of the toilets , I was disappointed and went to a staff member to ask for the manager

Finally after 20 minutes I spoke to a Duty manager who arranged the cleaning

The couple I went with left after I complained leaving me with the bill unfortunately

I never even got to drink my sprite as I was trying to find who was in charge , meanwhile the couple I went with left !!

May I ask do you expats frequent the same places as us tourists ?

Not really. As an example, I avoid Pattaya and go to Sri Racha.

Talking about tiolets in bars when  I started going to Phuket in 1990 not many bars had their own toilet and at one arcade of bars you had to walk right down the back of the complex and there was a rough old corrugated iron  set up that had no flushing system in the trough an they had  calmansari in  there to try and hide the stench but it was putrid and you had to pay 1 thb for the privelidge. OH ! Those were the good old days.

Been many times over the years with wife and kids, but now just wife.

Great accommodation due to the amount of Japanese factory workers in the area. Last week I stayed at S.Sri Racha but mostly at Oakwood.

Mainly relax, shopping (Central) and visit local wats (no I'm not religious but I love the architecture and atmosphere, the wife prays). Visit Ko Si Chang. Short trip to Pattaya attractions when kids were young.

Some excellent restaurants.

It's great value for money, no crowds, and short distance to BKK.

I don't think there's any need to be "nosy"

I recently had a work colleague ask me the same thing on my return from Thailand and unfortunately I had to explain boundaries

I'm back in Australia but had written that and didn't realise it ,I came back Thursday I think it was via Melbourne on a Bogan airline which I will never never never fly again in their supposssed business class called ......guess the name

You didn't realize you were back in Australia? I'm sure the signs should have told you, as well as everyone speaking English, or am I missing something here?  You "think" it was via Melbourne? Don't you know the closest airport to your home? How many weeks do you get off each year anyway, as I heard Aussies get 20 days? The last few weeks would mean 20 days or more and this is the third time if i remember you said you were in Thailand.

If you take a look you will see that Bredbury Blue answered my polite question. Then take a look at the thank you emoji I gave him. The look at the red thumbs down I gave you. I still think you should change your nick to Jethro Tull.

Oh please you remind me of Mrs Jessop from The Sullivan's,veil over your face peering out the window at the neighbours trying to get into their business

When you say higher end prices, how much are you talking about?

A bottle of 330ml Chang for instance?

No, the smart ones live in Pattaya and the ones that can't see they are being ripped off live in Phuket.  Eg.  Pattaya baht buses v Phuket tuktuks.

If Malaysia was 400 times better than Thailand, Phuket is 1000 times nicer than Pattaya 😉
