A Brazilian woman was detained on October 13 in Pattaya after allegedly assaulting a traffic officer. The incident unfolded on Pattaya Beach Road when police observed her committing several traffic violations. The arrest has sparked discussions about the increasing challenges faced by officers in maintaining road safety.

Police Lieutenant Siwakorn Somsura and his team stopped the 31-year-old Brazilian as she rode a motorcycle against traffic without wearing a helmet. When approached, she allegedly became verbally abusive as officers tried to issue a warning. The situation escalated when officers mentioned a fine under the Traffic Act, and she reportedly punched Pol. Lt. Siwakorn in the face.

Following the assault, the woman was taken into custody while reportedly continuing to act aggressively. She allegedly resisted arrest, requiring restraint with handcuffs, and spat at officers, kicking Pol. Lt. Siwakorn again. The Brazilian woman now faces charges for assaulting an officer, resisting arrest, and several traffic violations, including riding against traffic and failing to wear a helmet.

Legal proceedings are ongoing, shedding light on challenges within Pattaya's law enforcement in managing both local and international traffic offenders. The situation underscores the tension between officers and some foreigners who violate local regulations.

Looking ahead, authorities emphasize the need for enhanced protocols to handle such incidents calmly and efficiently. Meanwhile, Pattaya City Police remain vigilant in their traffic discipline efforts to ensure the safety of both residents and tourists.

Key Takeaways

  • Brazilian woman arrested for assaulting a Pattaya traffic officer.
  • Charges include assault and multiple traffic violations.
  • Legal proceedings underway following the incident.

Judging by the photo woman might need to be in quotation marks.

I actually feel bad for the woman. She should have just given him the money he was asking for then she could continue driving to her destination. Now though, she probably had to sit in a jail cell waiting someone to bring a load of cash to get her out.

Epic Thailand 101 fail. If only she had been riding her scooter helmetless the wrong way on the sidewalk, then none of this would have happened.

Revoke the visa....and off she goes

I reckon half the motorbikes on Beach Road are being ridden against traffic. I reckon it was not wearing a helmet that was her undoing. Of course punching the cop didn't help.

Give her a month in the pokey to cool-off, then a trip home with a life time ban to Thailand

Traffic offences are no biggie here, but the assault on a Police Officer needs to foment punishment.

An acquaintance of mine's guitar playing Nephew went to Rio de Janiero to play a concert, stayed 6 months,  came home as his Niece.

Here we go that leftist word again, maybe she was a member of the MAGA mole patrol.

The police were trying to issue a warning, meaning just a warning so she understood her offenses. Then they mentioned what a fine might cost, not saying she would be fined but just mentioning it, so she would know what she could be paying, and she makes matters a whole lot worse by actually hitting a policeman in a country not of her own. No matter  what people think they can get away with in their own countries, an adult should understand you don't assault an official who's only trying to do their job, let alone one who's just trying to warn them against breaking driving laws, with a small possible fine.

Now I understand why I never see them on the roads. Pattaya was in total gridlock yesterday.  I was caught up in it for two hours.  I saw ONE officer riding his motorbike on his way to lunch seemingly.

Sorry chief.

I'll try not to do it so often.

I don't think I said anything  about using an AI but that's a thought.............

Never been to Brazil? A great many of the favela dwellers drive like her. They also have temper tantrums. The Brazilian police motorcycle chases are entertaining, and I am impressed by the police driving skills.

Bet she has no return ticket and no money for the ~30 hour trip.

Brazilians are 90 day visa exempt BTW.

Brazil is a hotbed for leftists and dinosaur marxists. All of Latin America actually. You have to be so careful.

You think you have this hot Latina, and you end up with a short haired ANTIFA lunatic with no ears.
