Should you tell people they are unfit ?

Featured Replies

I like to look at older men my age ,watch them walk ,their gait etc and compare them to myself

Last month in Pattaya I went a breakfast place in Soi Bukhao,I will not name it , for privacy reasons

It had large 99 baht breakfast

Whilst I was eating I heard the other table of farangs mentioning the farang owners sitting outside

It appeared to be a couple rather large man & lady probably in their 60's with chubby appearance

I continued my breakfast to see the rather large man walk to the outside toilets they had  ,he  appeared to be off balance walking side by side

I thought to myself he needs to know !

So I let the waitress know I would be going to the toilet and went outside,by then this man who I must say was seemed to be happy  was walking out.

I immediately said to him " I'm not sure your age but you can't hardly walk ,your gait is side to side "

Did you know this ?

Go to the gym please do yourself a favour

He must of thought perhaps and not surprisedly , that I was joking ?

He stopped for a second or to ,then off he went , And laughed it off and walked back towards the stool out the front to sit on it

After I thought maybe people don't appreciate the advice

Do you ever yourself think you should tell people about their fitness particularly as it could be a "duty of care " on your part

I think this is just another wind up trolling post.

OP - can I ask what you were having for breakfast at this bastion of health? Taking into account they do a large 99 baht breakfast served by two fatties, I very much doubt that you were splashing out on their 'off menu' special at 299 baht of overnight soaked oats served with blueberries, chia and flax seeds?

Pot/Kettle springs to mind.........

Or do you ever think to yourself that you should mind your own business, particularly to save getting punched in the face by someone who does not appreciate your opinion? It could result in you needing 'duty of care' by some qualified hospital staff.

Exactly. It's like someone coming up to you in McDonald's whilst you are smashing your second Big Mac and giving you a flyer for the local gym. I would use it so wipe the 'special sauce' off my chin and shirt and chuck it back at them.

Look in a mirror first. And then?  No.  People know if they are fit or not.  Why be an ass?

Let me guess. Cheap Charlie's in Soi Bukhao?

I'm assuming all these absurd comments you make are genuine, and not trolls. If that's correct, then you really have no idea of correct social behavior when talking with other people.  You honestly think that it's OK to say these things to people because they are true, and you believe you are helping. You can't understand why so many people get angry at you or avoid you. Doesn't make sense to you, does it?

I wonder if you are on the Asperger's spectrum?

Should we tell a person if they are stupid and rude?

Stupid and rude is a dangerous combination, somebody they speak rudely to might do them harm someday.

Do we have a duty of care to tell someone if they are unbelievably stupid and rude?

This not a hypothetical question.

I have someone in mind.

Tell them their unfit WHAT? Their unfit donkey cannot walk, their unfit Grandad cannot tie his shoes. 555

I think you may mean THEY'RE = THEY ARE in English.

Get it right, or quit posting please.

If you're going to correct somebody's spelling at least do it correctly.

Mind your own business.

Do not confront foreigners in Pattaya

Some are unhinged, you could get into an argument or worse.
