12 VDC 3/4 Amp POWER ADAPTER - Local purchase

Featured Replies

I need a 110/220 VAC input 12VDC x 4 Amp output adapter with 2.5mm female barrel socket to power an ACER EK 271 Monitor.

I would like to visit a shop, select and pay but at first attempt cannot locate a retail seller in Hua Hin town.

I have tried Invade IT Hua Hin but they don't stock. I have tried BANANA in Market Village but nothing suitable.Tried one or two outlets on topfloor of MV also.

Can a local resident suggest where I might find one and save me running around?

With thanks

Thanks. I already checked. They do have them but I need to go the shop and pay cash.

I don't know about Hua Hin, but most of the decent size tech markets in BKK have a shop or 3 that specialize in power adapters.  Fortune Town, MBK, Chinatown, Ban Mo...  They all have them. Usually small kiosks, so you have to scrounge.  Look for the adapters in the display case.

You need to specify polarity and the OD and ID in addition to the voltage and amp rating.

Yes Crossy, I have ordered online on that basis but expected such a common item to be readily available in local retail. Seems everything now is focussed on mobile phones and peripherals. Many monitors sold now do not include a PSU, worse, the monitor retailers don't stock a full range.

Yes, one such vendor here was very helpful. He and his wife emptied out a close-packed footlocker on their stall and found two boxed Adapters buth both 2 amp. I will await delivery of my online order. I find the small independent vendors here smiling and helpful unlike many of the bored staff in the big stores.
