WOW.   So he was actually one of the good guys??   Eric.

There is a good reason why they didn't promote him to the top cop.

I am sure there are some straight police but its very common knowledge how much police get paid which is mostly not comparative to their assets so that within its self is the answer and Big Joke is correct!  When you see the station commander of a very small police station in a semi rural area driving the latest BMW that raises the question!

Hakparn allegedly called the police force "the largest criminal organisation" during a media interview. The police have condemned the statement, claiming it is both unfair and misleading.

Since when is the truth misleading.   They can't handle the truth.

Most of the time or some of the time....The jury is out on that one.

It’s probably the first words of truth he’s ever spoken he sang all the cops are corrupt organization he was part of it he was corrupt as hell he came out like a good guy but he was taking money left and right oh yeah all the money came from his wife’s family just like that one minister said that he borrowed the million dollar watches from his dead neighbor TITPS and where is the Red Bull kid I saw my TV last week and they seem not to be able to locate them

.......calling Thai police a "criminal organisation."......Big Joke seems to be saying what everyone is thinking.:coffee1:

If some defamation suit happens, should be a jury trial. Is there anyone in Thailand who doesn't think the cops are a criminal organization? Easy verdict

All that needs to be proven is whether what he said damages the police force's reputation. It doesn't matter whether it is true or not.

Joke would certainly have insider information, but his continuing reluctance to keep his mouth shut surely puts a massive target on his back as he pursues in kicking the hornets nest.

Unless the army is even larger...

Possibly one of the better ones but from what I know as fact, definitely not whiter than white!

I do have a little understanding and sympathy for him – it must be really hard not to get any more brown envelopes.

Not my friend, good guy.

I've known him for ages, he's no criminal, all above board.

You would be amazed at how rich some of the police officers are.  We are talking filthy rich.  They must do such good police work.

The Guy has a Target on his back.    You can't be an Ex Cop here and spill the beans; time to leave the Country !

What is new about that? All government sections are corrupt, NOTE not all people.

Very long time ago, a police officer had to run from Thailand to Australia, Paween Pongsirin.

So what about deputy police chief Surachate Hakparn?

If you follow the docu on youtube about Paween, you can also understand why BJ is put down as well.

It is a docu of 45 minutes, but intriguing.

Some years ago, there was the uproar about military.

THey were holding back lots of money, had hotels, land, houses, malls and so on.

It was said then, military returned all to government. Prayuth was allowed to stay in
" his house", as he did so good ?! Didnt see any follow ups, so covering all up.

As many military's and government should have been arrested and courted.

But im aware ALL countries face the same problems, some more then others.

Surachate is a shrood political cookie, there's an election on the horizon, so he's in raising profile mode. Expect a Photo OP with Peta in the near future.

Yes. It reminds me a bit of Seh Dang, the rogue Army commander that joined the red shirts - and received a sniper's bullet in the head for his efforts. While none of these guys are squeeky clean, Big Joke seemed to be as close to a real 'honest' cop leader as we'd seen. I bet the back story on how he and the Establishment fell out is quite interesting.

Yeah, but you could say the same for the military (more generals in Thailand armed forces than the USA). See how many of them drive Benz's. Almost all the politicians and many of the senior bureaucrats "apolitical" - seem to be rich too, and it doesn't come from their salaries.

Unfortunately that's exactly right. Libel here is simply about whether you made someone look bad. Truth has nothing to do with it. You make some pooyai look bad, you go to prison.. That's why everyone is very careful about what they say about anyone. Well the pooyai's aren't so afraid to say bad things about the poonoi...of course.

Ohhhhh no Shyt Sherlock! Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Everybody knows this. Now when he gets sacked he speaks truth and they all now scramble to save face. Clown world on display. Where is the honor among thieves? Cops should have all kept their mouths shut from the beginning because son, the sword cuts both ways.

I get that odd bit of Thai law.... but can the police's reputation be any lower?

Some one shot his car full of holes

Someone doesn't like him very much

Because he is relatively honest. He threatened to blow the lid on the (at the time) police chief on the immigration purchase of biometric scanners and 'smart cars' which had huge kick backs. That was when his car got shot up (there was no police investigation) a supporting police officer was summararily dismissed and he was overlooked for the top job.

Remember the other hero honest cop who exposed the people trafficking/deaths down south, implicating a few senior generals. His investigative report was quietly shelved and he was posted south where he was bound to be killed by the smugglers he has investigated. He subsequently went to Australia where he was granted asylum on the basis his ife was under threat if he returned to Thailand.

Oh got it, as reported in the English news. I thought you had inside info.

Spidermike 007  Is there a chance that he was really  Squeeky Clean as we all thought before and too popular for his own sake then was set up to be a part of the take mob.  Good officers don't get sacked unless its by the bad boys losing their pitch

He is absolutely correct in calling the police a criminal organization, he saw it from the inside, the only difference is the fact that he was never Mr. Clean he was never Mr. Straight, and he engaged in the corruption just like the other guys.

You can't become the national deputy director of the RTP without doing so. It just can't happen, ever. What he's done with his fortune and where he is hiding it, few people know, and it's just sour grapes at this point, the man is a loser, and he's always been a major publicity hog.

He's married to a billionaires daughter, he don't need money.
