Out of all the dentists I have seen Dr OYO at Dental Smiles was the best...She has nerves of steel and will take on any dental problem no matter how bad...She will turn a dental disaster into dental perfection... https://www.dentalsmilepattaya.com/

For a Thailand expat, it would never pay off to fly to India or Turkey for cheaper prices unless you were getting all your teeth replaced...( like you)...
November 17, 2025Nov 17 If you can come to Bangkok I have an excellent dentist. I've had four implants now (long story). I've not been overcharged on anything. The doctor has seen me half dozen times as well no charge. I've only paid one pano x-ray fee and had a bunch done. He uses it often to check his work. His English is decent. Never a long wait Im getting neodent implant with cz crown. 38.5 + 5k. No hidden, surprise fees Located atop Pohan Yotin MRT also BTS adjacent. You'd take a bus in to morchit prolly best

Sorry Dental Image Pohan Yotin but also have another few locations. This one very convenient for MRT and convenient for BTS . Currently, he's in PY Monday and Wednesday. Highly recommend, oral surgeon level dentist. Clinic is clean and modern inside. Extractions to crown fitting. Totally competent work. As I said I'm unfortunately on #4. He's in no hurry to seat the abutment and let the gum recover from extraction or bone graft OH! I needed two bone grafts. One 30k as I let a bad riot canal sit five years ...my bad. Another only 5k and another no need. This latest he says probably no need as well. Seems totally legit. Admin staff lovely but not much English, receipts clear and in English. Doctors English is good. He's young and good technique..knows what he's doing surely This is the guy. Forget about all those scammy Sukhumvit dentists for farang... really Finally, I've been to many big clinics here and they are overly expensive, potentially overcharge farang and work mediocre. In closing, I can't really comment on the long outlook of my implants thus far as the first has only been in a little over a year, but very happy with my experience thus far. Edit: I don't know the brand it's probably the lower end Korean brand but did see a special for upper lower full replacement choppers I think 300k. The cost of implants add up quickly. You might consider the above procedure. If you do be careful about picking the color and don't go too white. You have bad and/or yellow teeth you might be excited having beautiful choppers but don't do it ..go more natural imo I could use front veneers (fine cracks) but I'm very hesitant. to go down this road there there's no turning back and they will probably need replacement every 7 years. Let sleeping dogs lie
November 18, 2025Nov 18 Recommendations in Thailand are almost useless because of the defamation laws. I've posted bad reviews here and had them deleted, so you will only read the good reviews. These were people that were recommended here but ended up not being very good. I would suggest looking elsewhere for recommendations to get a more balanced opinion. I've posted bad reviews on google and had them stick, so I would trust those more.
November 18, 2025Nov 18 Thailand certainly has some good dentists but also remember there's many fake dentists. Best to ask for a document showing the qualifications and check they are real. i.e. the persons name shows on the list of people who have qualifies and their names listen on an approved list of person graduated from the proven to be genuine dental school.
November 18, 2025Nov 18 Dental Image locations. Of course the only ones that matter are the ones in which this doctor works

Of all those big dentists I have had a bunch of problems with each and every one of them. I've been to all save for Sunil ... I don't like the promotion website. Seems to be very much geared to tourists imo. I'm not saying the work is not competent I simply don't know. Never been appealing ...and every time dentists are mentioned on this forum this dentist always seems to pop up 😳🤔 Was a patient at dental hospital on 49 for probably nearly 20 years. Started going there out of worry over sanitation. Worried about HIV hep B exposure. Was expensive but very competent. Towards the end I started to have issues and then they moved to On Nut. I had further issues and was done there rapidly. It came hospital mainly for visiting tourists, Arabs and Indians But I've been them all.
November 18, 2025Nov 18 Best i have been to is Hollywood Dental in soi lenke ,Pattaya. professional, clean, never ever had a problem with them.

Going to a dental hospital instead of the small one man clinics would help avoid that.
November 18, 2025Nov 18 Dr Tapasit at Aden Za clinic on North Pattaya road (near Healthland). US educated and he also worked there before coming back here. Excellent english, very competent, all in all: A great dentist! Good luck with your dental work!
November 18, 2025Nov 18 I'd just like to add one other thing. You're looking for a dental surgeon, a specialist. You want someone that has done these procedures day in and day out. That's not someone a small clinic with a bunch of implant posters pasted up maybe has done a few and their entire career. That's not even a general dentist in a more boutique clinic This is a specialty for my dentist and does it all day long. In fact if you look at the Line wallpaper on my post the entire office is all about implants. Of course they do general dentistry but that's the focus Some people don't want the roving dentist, but I see it as a big plus. It's not like they're roving out of their corporate clinics just changing offices to maximize work and income. Good luck with your choice

Wife's work will cut her to freelance at 55. This dentist has done exclusive work for me for ?? about two years

If you can travel easily, the hospital at Bang Saen has a good dental dept and being a government hospital prices are reasonable, You would need to register and then the down side is they do appointments on a first come first served basis. Once you start treatment you would be given subsequent appointments.

No hard sell I have plenty of ibuprofen around. Further, I would only take antibiotics if I had an infection.

Theres a foreigner that does the admin work online. As I recall and I'm only recalling... Trip was not worth it from Bangkok, scheduling and convenient and the price is weren't all that different. I found it kind of sketchy and didn't pursue. I'm sure that dentist is totally legit I just didn't like the logistics of it all and as I recall the price wasn't compelling. Feel free to do your own research EDIT: on second thought read prior post I'm not sure at all this is the same place but possible. I'm not trying to push you or persuade you to go anywhere

So thanks.

Just of a bit of work done if you want to test the waters. I looked freaking everywhere and been to every big clinic in Bangkok I swear over 30 years

I went to a dentist in Pattaya several years ago that had good reviews here. The guy was terrible. His clinic has since gone out of business so that should tell you all you need to know. Sadly, I can't even mention his name or where he got his credentials because it would probably get this post deleted. Last I heard he's working at the dental clinic in a certain hospital in Pattaya now, but I can't even mention which one. Went to another guy who lots of people recommend here. Again can't mention his name but some of you can probably guess who I am talking about. The guy on a certain road that starts with K. He's very busy and hard to get an appointment. When I went for a cleaning I was not impressed. It was really rushed. A friend of mine just went about a week ago to a scheduled appointment, waited for an hour, and the dentist didn't even show up. So he had to reschedule. So now he's looking around for someone else because he knows he can't rely on that guy if he ever has an emergency. Also had a bad experience with another dental outfit recommended here, although I haven't seen it recommended lately. I just wanted a checkup and they tried to get me to sign up for a dozen crowns. This was also several years ago and all those teeth are still fine. My dentist back in Canada told me they were trying to rip me off doing unnecessary work. Again, can't mention who or even where they are or even certain words in the name of the clinic because it would be too obvious and get this post deleted. Now I just go to the dental clinic at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. They are expensive but the work is consistent and good and you can usually get in the same day if it's nothing major, or an emergency. Can't say the same for most other places i've tried around town that often get good reviews.
