  • Get yourself to the Jetski world cup at Jomtien this weekend.  You'll see all the rich Bangkokians in town, driving their Lamborghini's etc.    It just so happens, I went to the bank ye

There's a little soi, runs from Pattaya Tai to 3rd road.

Is that space opposite the booze distributor on the other corner - runs to the the back of the Mityon dealership?

I always wondered who the cars parked there belonged to.

Yes, that's it.

It's always a treat riding through the Soi.

Always, a different exotic supercar to look at and the occasional clumsy Rolls/Bentley. 😁

Is he the guy who owns the Chinese restaurant next to Royal Garden Plaza, which has a McLaren, Bentley and other super cars always parked there? Or the guy from a few years ago that would come and sit in a different Supercar on Walking St nearly every day around 3am onwards near McDonalds, Leela/Flexx/Nashaa nightclubs?

The fact that you didn’t swerve to the kerb every two minutes might have been a clue!🤪

I see that guy has a few Jaguars, I think there's a connection between him and the hotel corner second road and 13/1.

There's an old Thai lady who would drive her Bentley around town, she parked it up in the Soi that connects Pattaya Klang and soi Buakhou. I'm sure she drives an X4 now.

I'd see this guy occasionally, seems to have disappeared now.

I've been seeing this car parked on Pattaya Tai, just up from Krungthai bank, I thought it was a copy, Google says it's a Ferrari

Look how small she is, apparently has 1000hp. It'd be fun to drive. 😎

A few  are driven by retired   british and EU Crime lords  and drug dealers , a few by Russian Mafia ,, some by Hiso Thais and other by bent thais especially officials ,, and a few by genuine wealthy  people ,, some of the cars are actually clever fakes ,, there are  a few  Chinese fake Rolls Royces ,  they look correct until closely examined  and then its obvious  ....there is 2 genuine RR i know in pattaya  one real  moderm 20m baht RR driven around by a very nice Thai gentleman who was in insurance  and the other is  a very well maintained 1980s model  driven by  a UK oldboy  .

Some money here comes from successful entrepreneurship, but alot comes from parents, grandparents, and even great grandparents who bought land 25-75 years ago. The price of land has skyrocketed to the level where some are now dollar centimillionaires. Somehow, paying a million dollars for a car makes sense to them, in a desperate bid to impress. I find it sad.

Used to see one parked in The Thai Garden Resort that looked real.

The building developer for the Millennium and Grand Solaire, he's an Israeli guy.

He's got loads of these million dollar supercars.

I see his cars at times parked at my daughter's condo.

no, lots of really rich people in pattaya, i never met so many rich anywhere else combined

Joke all you want but there are actually lots of rich people in Pattaya.  Those that think otherwise are both woefully out-of-date and ill-informed.  If you know the Darkside well, you'll know this is definitely the case, with luxury housing projects being built that are too numerous to mention.   Watching some of the Youtube sites that specialize in Pattaya's luxury  housing projects will get you in the picture.  Pearl Property has a very good one.

Posters delight in highlighting Flybird and Nirun condos at every turn but expensive condo projects are much more numerous than those two.  Riviera Group recently announced their next luxury condo project, Riviera Palm Beach in Wongamat, which the group's president, Winston Gale, stated will have 'the highest prices seen in Pattaya to date'.  He plans for it to be 'Pattaya's most super high end project.'

I know it will be on a very nice piece of oceanfront land--my spouse and I used to own a condo at the project right next door--Garden Cliff.  This project will join the many new condos that have already been built, and are now being built, with very high per sq. meter prices--and have found wealthy buyers.  The perception used to be, and maybe still is for some, that Pattaya consisted mostly of poor pensioners living their lives of quiet desperation in small fan rooms.  The reality these days couldn't be more different.

I think they are owned by locals.... perhaps daddy has a large restaurant or a lot of property. They can be dangerous as driven by spoiled brats, had a  few incidents on Sukhumvit as they drive home on Sundays!

Not owned by the Thai BUT owned by the bank and rented to them.  It will be interesting to see how many get REPO'D

There are loads of them in Bangkok and sometimes they drive down to Pattaya. Recently there were a Porsche club meeting in Bangkok. I don't think have seen so many Porsches in one place at the same time. All driven by thais. There are Lambo and Ferrari clubs too. If you go to the garage in a shopping mall in Bangkok you'll find a special supercar parking.

The lambos and ferraris will set you back 150,000 Baht.

Per day, or per hour?

It's red and it's got the yellow and black prancing horse logo on the front wings but this is not a real Ferrari.  It appears to be a cheap rip-off of a Ferrari La Ferrai convertible (see images of original machine below).

Look at how much space is above the wheels at the rear, and how high the rear is.  There's no black vent in the front wing behind the wheel.  The rear deck on the fake one also completely blocks the rear window...  And, finally, the length and proportions are obviously wrong, compared to the original.

I'd be embarrassed to own it because it's hideous.

p.s. the convertible La Ferrari is also rather ugly.  The hardtop version, however, is delectable (see below).
