Hit me with your rhythm stick

Featured Replies

Isn't it fascinating as I get older I'm remembering the times from the 198os or should one say "reminiscing"

I was mopping the hospital floors last night when I overheard a song

"Hit me ..hit me with your rhythm stick

I immediately remembered this so looked up on YouTube

I had no idea the singer Ian Duty had died of Colon cancer and I actually shed a tear

Do you ever do reminiscing?

Ian Dury

Several singers have died from liver cancer, notably the iconic David Bowie (2016)

My girlfriend likes it when I hit her with my Rhythm Stick.

She makes nice little noises, very cute ❤️

Did you know Ian Dury (not Duty) had polio as a child? This left him with permanent disabilities and the need to use walking aids.

Also, he died as a result of liver cancer (although he did have colon cancer).

You managed to get his surname and cause of death wrong. Hit me with your rhythm stick was released in 1978, not 1980's. Other than that, I suppose your post is factually correct......

Not much left to be correct.

C'mon - its georgegeorgia... Repeated blunt-force encounters appear to be a defining feature of his development, particularly cranial !!!! 🫨

He got his first name correct. Let's give the old codger some credit......

Music really brings back memories but not as much as smells, smelt a perfume the other day that a girlfriend used to wear 15 years ago

Dated a girl who managed a store in a shopping mall. She said early one morning when she was the only one there the creepy mall maintenance man came in and said he needed to check something on the electrical panel. A few minutes later he went into the store's restroom without asking when he should have used the public restroom. She said when she went into the bathroom later it looked like there was semen floating in the toilet. Your posts about work remind me of that story for some reason.

We all know it was a misspelling, as t is next to r on the keyboard. 😂

Yeah, that was cute. Your girlfriend, on the other hand, might not think you are so cute when you post about it on a forum for all the world to know. But, what do I know? Maybe you just don´t respect her at all.

I suppose I would be, a lot, if I was mopping hospital floors like you.

Crikey, some people should be banned from the Pub forum with crazy comments like yours.

Let's see if you can achieve highest thumbs down emojis award for the day.

Who was the guy, the tall Native American Indian...who...

Mopped the floors in the hospital that became Jack's final undoing?

Mopping the floor?

I find it deeply offensive that you would disparage the invaluable work performed by janitors. These individuals play a crucial role in our society, maintaining the cleanliness of the spaces we inhabit. Your comments reflect a disregard for their dignity and contributions. I urge you to reflect on your words and offer an apology to the author of this thread for your inappropriate remarks.

Sorry, a poor attempt at humor that failed.

David Bowie (2016)

Such as sad day.

I recall that day clearly.

I was sitting in my room in Chiang Mai.

On the 10th floor.

I blasted his albums for the following 10 hours.

Ten years ago, on the tenth floor, and for ten hours, I blasted his albums.

It was amazing.

Dear ...I have started another thread if you care to look for those who have a "disability " and using the services of the ASEAN forum to get through..you may care to look.

Its a pity though there is no additional features on this forum to remind members such as yourself to take your medication, but it may come
