Congratulations Dubar!

Sure Chiang Mai, knowing my luck it'll go the full 120 days. I'll post an update as soon as I hear something.

Cheers.

I borrowed Naam's crystal ball this weekend and it seems that you will get your SMS on Tuesday and that Jason will get his on Thursday, for some reason I will not get mine until Friday - remember, you heard it here first!

I'm sorry, I'm not open to propositions..... :)

(numerically, the odds are in your favour I would say, good luck)

lol ! ... Why Tuesday, I'm 10 weeks Monday, I was worried about the bank holiday in the UK, but it not seem to apply? The endless waiting is stressful.

The ball sees everything, don't question why, just accept.

You can see the stress levels rising with each passing hour here !

Instead of them sitting on the application (check yours for dust when returned), I'd happily pay more to get it to the front of the queue. When I work out what it has actually cost in supporting a second household for these intervening (and as yet unquantified months), even a significant premium would have been welcome !

Agree with you 100%. But unfortunately they're not commercial enough to see an opportunity and to gain from it.

Of course any commerical organisation would be doing it already and offering different levels of service, bit like the post office and air travel with different classes....

My guess is that UK Bank Holidays are a feature of all of this, Monday being a holiday. Hang in there, it'll all come right soon.

also guys,

how many of you have had successful visitor visa's for your wife in the past before you went for the settlement?

cheers

my wife had visit visa last august before we were married,

did that make you feel any more confident while waiting for the settlement TJ? my wife came over for 6 months last year also, but we were already married.

cheers

This waiting is worrying me sick. My Fiancee is 19 weeks pregnant and we just to get on with our lives here. I've waited just over 5 weeks so far and a no would be a disaster. The longer we wait the more unsafe it is for her to fly.

Good luck to all those waiting.

yumster,

you would think that in a case like yours they would sort it out quicker, the waiting must be very hard on her.

i wish you luck.

A couple of questions:

1) Tiggerfiash has done an outstanding job with this thread, do you intend to keep it going after you get your visa or will the forum pick it up, it really is very useful in so many ways?

2) With all these Brits returning to Blighty this surely can't be the end of the story. What we need is to find out what happens in Part II, having moved to the UK with their respective loved one, how did it all work out, was it the right move, what was missed etc. Maybe a few good learning experiences to be had as a result and still very much Thai related.

I agree, this thread has been very useful, any thread on the learning experiences and how to make the transition as smooth as possible...

Hi Chiang Mai, I agree but would need a separate thread - are you going to start one? Would be interesting and also to see if couples eventually went back to Thailand if UK didn't work out for them.

I'll be happy to kick it off, provided the Mods are OK with the idea and it doesn't get closed for being not related to Thailand? Mods/Admin?

yes it did make me feel more confident i suppose, even though there is always that bit of doubt in your mind, if you know you have good relationship and all the evidence you submit is all ok there is no reason for anyone to worry i believe,
