@thaibeachlovers    If you look at the time of the post above yours, it is in fact 1 hour before your comment. Yes, the thread started a long time ago, but still active and relevant.

Here it was off for about 90 minutes in the afternoon, then back for one hour and then off for another hour at least. Your 11 hours are really bad.

Dare I say ..... not even had a flicker in my area of Maenam..... for months.... (I probably just jinks thatrolleyes.gif )

But preventive maintenance along some of the power lines would go a long way to preventing problems... in many areas! whistling.gif

Oddly my power come from the main road underground, (100 mts or so, I guess that helps during the windy periods... at least most of the new lines on ring road are fairly free of trees, to bugger things up!

Three loud explosions from the power box at the end of Soi 7 this morning.

Fourth explosion just now - no power. facepalm.gif

Here we go again. I am just waiting for the guests to start phoning.sad.png

Oh well time for a coffee1.gif

Someone I know very well took that photo laugh.png & sent the report in. Well I was in the same car anyway.

Back on topic, got to give them credit, once the truck was towed out, they got the old posts out, put new ones in power up & running by 6 ish.

Another good thing is , they respected the fiber optic lines, not damaged & up and running great.

Just wanted to let everyone know tomorrow from 9 AM to 4pm from maenam soi 1 to the light at bophut, there will be no electric, I can back this up as PEA just came to our hotel to inform us and to give an official letter. I will upload the document soon, keep in mind it is in thai though. As far as I understand no where else is effected

Today, 8.30 am to 3.30 pm between HinTa HinYai and Hua Nathon.

I wish the PEA had come to my hotel, so I could of had a shower early.

All up Bophut Hills too.

Yesterday evening power went to something around 100 volts. Took a few hours to come back to normal. Tonight same again. Anyone else having the same? I'm in Bangrak.

Power out since 5.45 Bophut Hills, anywhere else?

Five explosions last night around 10.30 pm - the first one and all the lights went out (off the main road in Mae Nam - up the hill in the direction of Kirikayan, Soi 1)

One of the bangs was BIG..

Dunno what time they came on again because I went out to watch footie - and the lights were on everywhere else in Mae Nam . . .

Today from around 8am till 2.30 partial/Nil supply, same as last Tuesday several hours Bophut area.

My UPS gave up a few days ago, resulting in a fried motherboard on my work computer :(

Part of maenam is off now. Electric hotline are aware.

Thankfully it wasnt a long one:)

About 2 hours for me.... luckily I was home to turn off the computer before, the battery drained on my UPS!

Sorry you were not so lucky...yesterday!

Sheduled powercut Wed 08 Oct 0800-1600hrs in maenam, according to a tannoy waggon that drove past my house a few mins ago.

Just been told that no power from 8 am to 4.30 tomorrow

PEA make big repairs

We live on the pointy end of Plai Leam

Off 08.30 until 3.30 pm here, near Hua Thanon. Today.

Let's hope the repairs don't turn into a super black out like last time

Had quite a few hours of this in bangrak today. All I wanted was butter from the shop to go on my toast.... (no have... electric close) .... but i survived, despite the odds, and reminded myself that life is not so bad really

Took a siesta after lunch (eggs on dry bah.gif toast (bread... no electric)) on the very cool tiled floor.... just like the old days. Very nice.

^ you should not have sleep in so late Higgins! tongue.png

My water delivery guys were not able to fill their bottles... so were not able to deliver bottle water...

Imagine the same for others...with the electric off .... so they may be a day or two behind now!

I did get a few things done, that have been on the "to do" list and often side tracked by tele or computer... thumbsup.gif

Never had a blackout in Bophut , all was normal.smile.png

Power off all morning until 2:00 pm today.

(The generators at Kirikyan resort on Soi 1 are deafening from 300 metres away. Must use a ton of gasoline and be hell for their guests . . .)
