His followers represent a radical fringe in America that have become disenfranchised and while they have real issues and concerns, they are being fooled by this demagogue. It's not that Hillary is such a great candidate- it's that the other choice is just horrid.

Quote modified for brevity.

45% of intending voters is not a fringe.

Substitute Trump for Clinton and your point applies equally well.

Oh what a glorious day - Dikileaks Day - 29th October.  In the future this may be remembered as THE day that the wicked witch of the west and her corrupt family businesses was finally defeated in the court of public opinion.

The only thing better, is seeing the ridiculous responses and allegations made by the Hillary shrills on this forum. For a long time many people like myself, a Trump supporter and anti-Liberal anti-Clinton person, has been copping a lot of abuse and ridicule. So much so that in fact most of us have stayed away and got on with our lives, as opposed to those who seem to have no life and spend all day attacking Trump and any of his supporters.

Happy Days indeed. BUT.  It seems that many people on this forum have not been as 'involved' in this campaign as they think they are.  Only two days ago the LA Times published a Poll that had Trump leading. Several Polls in the last week have shown Trump to be in front. Clinton and Kaine have both cancelled their own events in OH and FL in the last few days. Obama has cancelled all future appearances with Hillary. http://www.redflagnews.com/headlines-2016/white-house-cancels-all-obama-appearances-at-hillary-campaign-events-

It seems to be that the momentum started swing to Trump about 2 weeks ago, when all the October wikileaks and podesta emails and scandals started to bite, and a lot of high profile people came out in support of Trump once the sextapes and allegations were debunked. And in the last week it had gone crazy - people all over the country were exposing Dems corruptions and violence every day on Twitter Facebook and Snapchat. And the a 4star General was charged and pleaded guilty and was sentenced to jail, for doing essentially what Hillary did.  That was when the Polls started to turn, and even those with a +Dem demographic started to say Trump was in front or just behind. And at that same time Trumps bookmaker odds shortened a lot, and several previously successful predictors stated that Trump was going to win. Trump had gained momentum, and that momentum was late and strong.

That the previous FBI 'investigation' and all the associated 'activities, like Bill meeting with the AG on her plane, was either a cover-up or a complete screw-up is obvious. They gave 5 people immunity, and then interviewed the target (Hillary) with one of those people present, did not record the interview, and actually interviewed Angela Jolie for a longer period of time.  http://insider.foxnews.com/2016/10/28/angelina-jolies-fbi-interview-was-longer-hillary-clintons

Perhaps this move by the FBI was coincidental and perhaps it was planned, either way it is the nail in the coffin of the Clinton campaign. But Clinton supporters need not worry, long before she is indicted or subpoenaed or appears in court, she will have been granted a pardon by the outgoing POTUS.   And that brings me back to Obama cancelling all appearances with Hillary. There has been a lot of allegations about emails (wikileaks/podesta) that Obama know about Hillary's private system, which means he lied to Congress/FBI which is an impeachable offence.

There is one word, going forward in life, that Hillary is going to hate ....................... email. Take a look at this interview with 'that guy' from the movie Hangover - funniest thing is at the end. "We should stay in touch, what's the best way to reach you? Email?"

Whether one calls Trump supporters or Hillary supporters a fringe- there is no possible way that Donald Trump should become President. He has tapped into a large group of Americans who are disgusted with the American system. I am one of them- I want a reformed tax code; a real national healthcare system; a real Immigration policy that does not include walls and massive deportations; free college tuition; a reformed police and prison system; a lower defense and intelligence budget; a new foreign policy that does not include being policeman of the World; a redistribution of wealth away from the wealthy to the other 99%; a well funded social security/medicare system; representation for Americans abroad; a reformed election system.

Donald Trump will provide none of this and he can't even discuss these issues because he knows nothing about them. He is divisive- has no agenda and will be a huge disappointment to his base who actually think he will do something to make life better for them.He will do nothing because he knows nothing except being wealthy and privileged.

Hillary Clinton is the only possible choice because she will at least try to do something positive for the American people. She is just as corrupt as any other person who has power. If there was another choice -other than Trump- it might be a different story. Trump is the worst candidate to ever run for President. I listen to his speeches and I am appalled by his rhetoric and lack of intelligence. Frankly, he is an ignorant person who has no depth. I certainly do not hate him  but I recognize him to be selfish, self centered person who will do nothing for America or her people.

If the reports are true, Comey has a mutiny on his hands within the FBI . The agents in this new investigation might just be holding his feet to the fire,  covering up for HRC. I am sure these guys are proud of the work they do,  Comey and the DOJ made the FBI and it people look like dumb asses, and they are not happy. Its time to right the wrongs and Comey has three choices, bend over for the WH administration and protect HRC and the DOJ, resign with six years remaining in his term or back his guys, the ones, trying to protect the people they gave an oath to do.

yes both retired and currently serving FBI agents were stunned  in July that Comey didn't refer this matter to a grand jury then.they said not doing so was most unusual with a case like this.

Obviously it's been an exceptionally bad week for the Hillary Clinton campaign.
Let's wait 5 days and how it impacts the the realclearpolitics average polls.  I predict she will take a hit of about 2 points which of course means trump will be closer, but still behind.

There are still some pro-Clinton Liberals that just cannot see that their candidate is corrupt, has always been corrupt, and always will be corrupt.  And there are still some rational people that are not sure - it has been a very divisive and belligerent campaign.  I can only hope that those 'undecided' will think more and take at look at these two links - and there is plenty more.  The truth is out there, but you have to look for it Skully :)

Ok - guilty as charged - couldn't resist linking the daily mail story. But read the Washington Post with care and diligence - dont be like Hillary with classified emails :)

I can only hope that those abusive anti-Trump posters (you know the ones I mean) have a great week, as they watch their 'idol' fall to pieces and be cast aside by the People and watch helplessly as the USA is put on the path to be made great again.  #Trump

Good point - and probably very much what was involved behind the scenes. I reckon that the support that Trump had gained in this month, lead to them being brave and strong enough to demand that Comey follow due process this time. If Clinton was going to win, they would have remained mute, but the prospect of a Trump victory gave them the courage to do what is right.

Try not to laugh.

It seems like Comey has decided he doesn't want to work at the FBI any more.

..................or  Comey has decided he couldn't work at the FBI any more if he hadn't done what he did ( because his colleagues put so much pressure on him to come clean.) Judge Andrew Napolitano said  a bunch of FBI agents were about go  public if he hadn't done this.

Good Lord- please someone tell me how Donald Trump is going to make  America great gain. Don't tell me it is because he is going to build a wall and deport 11 million people; don't tell me it's because he will tear up all the trade deals and re-negotiate them; don't tell me he will charge Nato, Korea and Japan for American protection; don't tell me he will get Russia to give back Crimea and became bet friends with America. He can't do any of this even if he wanted to. He can't bring back all the lost manufacturing jobs because even the POTUS doesn't have the power to stop business from globalization.

What he will do is cause a huge rift in America and a further coarsening of the way business is handled and alienate the rest of the World against America. This is a global society we live in and the POTUS must be able to get along with other countries not provoke them at every turn.

Donald Trump is probably the one person I could never vote for and it's simply because he is not qualified and I know  the ony thing he cares about is himself.

So- to those who go ahead and vote for him- I can assure you if elected- expect to see a meltdown of the stock market and the decline of the US Dollar by at least 20%.

So he put himself in the hot seat and possibly violated the Hatch Act so that he could silence a few subordinates?  Seems legit.

I agree completely.  Though I have voted for the Democratic Party candidates in every national election my entire adult life, I never trusted HRC and believe she is corrupt to the core. Obama has also been a huge disappointment even though I realize many of his failures can be attributed to Republicans in Congress fighting him every step of the way (even on issues for which they may have agreed). I don't think he was corrupt when he 1st took office but very much believe that he is now.  It will be interesting to see (in a disgusting way) whether he is able to amass a similar level of obscene wealth from "speeches and book deals" as have the Clintons; which in my opinion has become nothing more than modern day legalized bribery.

For what it's worth and for the 1st time in my life, I am not voting in this election even though I could.  Given the takeover of our system by corporations and the wealthy, combined with the ridiculous state-by-state electoral college system of vote counting in which my vote has never counted anyway, I will probably never vote again.  From my perspective, a very sad commentary indeed.

Wishing you a long life, but reflect on the possibility your participation in elections may well resume after your death. ;-)

Announcing something like this a few days before the election, is serious business.

Comey better make everything he has public very soon , or he is toast either way.

The democrats will go after him if he does not have anything but he negatively affects HRC's campaign. Or if HRC wins and then he come out with evidence that could have caused her to loose, the Republicans will go after him.

So unless he publishes soon he is toast. Either way his timing is terrible, this is not going to end well for him.

Wrong. The dumbocrats should never have nominated Hillary to begin with. She has a multi decade history of dubious moral judgements, they only have themselves to blame

Just when it was getting boring!  This should liven up the posts. No doubt Clinton will claim the election is now rigged against her!  Oh no sorry that is Trumps line isn't it.

It may be something significant or nothing much at all.  Time and the FBI will tell!

But they won't tell BEFORE the election which is why the TIMING by the FBI is so weird and arguably wrong.

The timing of the FBI  statement is suspicious and it smacks of partisanship. In either event, after the election, the Director should resign. He is showing a complete lack of decorum and he appears to be incompetent. Either you have something or you don't. Put it out or shut up. Trial by innuendo is wrong.

However, I doubt any of this will matter in the final results of the election. It's no wonder America is held in such low esteem.

I honestly believe unless there are massive changes in America- there will be an uprising and another American Revolution will take place. This utter madness cannot continue.

Just for the record, the word "duplicates" does not appear anywhere in the article you link to above.  Neither is the title of the article "The 'new' Clinton emails might all be duplicates."  Instead, it is " FBI says emails found in Anthony Weiner's sexting scandal may have links to Clinton probe " You are engaging in agitprop.

Neither of those were within quotation marks, nor were they contained within the quote box.  Can you figure out why I composed the post that way?  I'll bet you can if you really try.

The FBI statement itself smacks of incompetence.  It is trial by innuendo. Why would it take a long time to review emails you claim may have a bearing on an investigation. Either you have something or you don't and if you don't know- you should not be putting  out innuendo. This is a highly ranked government official who should know better.  Once the election is over- he can retire to Florida. I understand Trump has a nice home that he recently renovated on a suspicious $17 million insurance payment.

Perhaps one of the most amazing things in the last 8 hours is what hasn't happened.  Trump hasn't opened his mouth and said something stupid, bringing the spotlight back on him.  Maybe he's finally starting to get the hang of politics.

Timing.......

Funny, you didn't seem to find anything "arguably wrong" with the "timing" of the pornstar that said Trump tried to kiss her one time & stuff whilst wearing a "wicked" necklace and having a fresh line of porn vids and sex toys released days before her "revelation" of "assault" was released alongside her feminazi lawyer.

Funny that....

I guess "Timing" and "revelations" are only important when they benefit your agenda, and the actual authenticity means nothing.

I'll tell you something else that's funny. All the progressives and lefty liberals on TVF are in the panic mode. Now the shoe is on the other foot and it's entertaining to say the least to read some of their posts.

Bloody liberals are whinging now. Tis funny. Still, she will probably win and that just goes to show what a crap system it is. Allowing a crim to be in the White House when she should be dressed in black and white.

To the best of my knowledge, porn stars are not required to obey the Hatch Act and the DOJ policy of not throwing political Molotov cocktails into an election two weeks before show time.

Former AG Holder formalized this policy four years ago:

Quote

Traditionally, the Justice Department has advised prosecutors and law enforcement to avoid any appearance of meddling in the outcome of elections, even if it means holding off on pressing cases.

[snip]

Four years ago, then Attorney General Eric Holder formalized this practice in a memo to all Justice Department employees. The memo warned that, when handling political cases, officials “must be particularly sensitive to safeguarding the Department’s reputation for fairness, neutrality, and nonpartisanship.” To guard against unfair conduct, Holder wrote, employees facing questions about “the timing of charges or overt investigative steps near the time of a primary or general election” should consult with the Public Integrity Section of the Criminal Division.

When asked whether Comey had followed these guidelines and consulted with the Public Integrity Section, or with any other department officials, a DOJ spokesman refused to comment, although reporters were able to get a candid picture of the spokesman:

I completely dismissed  the porn star allegation as untrue. However, there are about 10 other women who have come forward and made allegations some of which have corroboration. In addition, Trump's own words have spoken to the fact that he likes to denigrate women; people of color; the disabled and everyone else who may not agree with his agenda.

The trump allegations are much different than an FBI Director making a statement prior to an election about  emails that MAY contain information relevant to Clinton's prior investigation. This is bizarre timing. The FBI is supposed to be independent. Either you have something or you don't. The Director looks incompetent if he can't come up with the 'smoking gun' and I mean right now- not after the election- now.

The Trump allegations about impropriety or the Clinton allegations about emails is not going to swing the election. Donald Trump probably could have been president if he simply spoke in a moderate, tempered voice and put together a real plan and a real agenda for America. He didn't do it because he can't. He is a narcissistic meglomaniac who thinks only of himself. On November 8th, he will find out that most Americans reject him, but he won't believe it. He might get the hint though when on Jan 20, 2017- Hillary Clinton is sworn in as President.
