No, just found it strange that his name was left of the list.

The 3 I mentioned were West Ham youth players who came through the system and were fan favourites. 2 of them were avowed West Ham fans who were happy to bugger off for the chance of money/silverware elsewhere. At least Ince let it be known that he followed Man Utd as a kid. There are others I could add as well. Bilic was another outsider who used us as a stepping stone. That happens all the time, Southampton being a popular stepping stone these days apparently.

When you are offered 22.5m for a 29yo that doesn't want to play for you you should take it.

Yes. Maybe with a clause to stop him appearing for another English club next season. I would just get rid.

Especially as we have replaced him with Snodgrass...

I like the look of this lad Hogan who you are getting in from Brentford. Another Rochdale old boy hitting the big time like Grant Holt, Ricky Lambert and ALF.

I've been hearing that he's not up to it. Can't be any worse than Zaza anyway.

Well Payet's gone for 25m to Marseille.

Isn't that the number they turned down?

He must have been kicking up quite a stink.

I think no one else came in for him.

I've read there's a 25% sell on clause, just in case he decides he can deal with homesickness and moves to Arsenal.

Keen to get back to London. Palace or Brighton if they go up. I know Brighton is not London but it's close enough.

I reckon Bournemouth I think he would be a good lad for people like callum Wilson.  Brighton is a good bet but I fancy defoe to aim a bit higher than another probable relegation battle.

What a great night. For the first time, I enjoyed watching football at the London Stadium. The atmosphere was loud and charged form the moment the teams came out and never let up. It was like Upton Park on a good night, but much much bigger.  It was typical derby football - more arse than class. But after a difficult season, to put that squalid clubs title challenge to the sword made the season ticket price seem worth it. And the jubilation continued onto the concourse outside long after it was over. OK, beating a local rival in a league game isn't exactly winning the cup, but it felt good. The highlight of the season. It felt like home for the first time last night.

Thanks.. The season is nearly finished, so there won't be a lot to talk about..

I don't know these people in real life (except for Pattaya Pat who posted a few months ago).

The question you should be asking yourselves is why is it your players can play with such intensity and commitment because they are playing us and then turn into a shadow of that at other times?  I'd be furious, because they must be hiding, lacking in commitment to their club.  I've watched West Ham this season when the players just haven't turned up.  Yet, after fridays derby you see what they can do when they put their mind to it.

The question you should be asking my pikey friends is why don't they at the very least give that 100% to the club week in week out?

That's the eternal question in football, and not something I can do anything about. I just enjoy the good times when they happen. And putting a spanner in the works for you monkeys' season - again - is always a good time.

Last season was better overall. We had a decent season. The big clubs were all poor. Spurs were good. Leicester of all teams were even better.

In answer to Alfredo's question, I miss all posters who help keep this forum interesting and worthwhile reading; I'm even really missing my old man chicog for the same reason
