‘Nott’ learns details of his community service sentence

Actor and TV host Akanat “Nott” Ariyaritwikul met with Probation Department officers on Monday to hear the details of the community service he must perform as part of the one year suspended jail term he was given for assaulting a messenger last year.

Last week, the primary court found Akanat and his friend, Wittawat Sribunditmongkol, guilty of assaulting and violating the liberty of motorcycle messenger Kittisak Singto, 25, following a road accident on November 4, last year.

The court initially sentenced Akanat and Wittawat to two years in jail each, but the jail term was cut in half because they pleaded guilty. The court suspended the jail term on the grounds that the duo had never been jailed before. They were instead ordered to carry out 24 hours of community service and to report to the authorities four times every three months.

Thousands of people have watched the video online that appears to show Akanat punching Kittisak in the face on a Bangkok street last November 4, allegedly demanding that he apologise for a collision that left the TV star’s Mini Cooper damaged.

The incident became widely known with the popular hashtag “kraab rot ku”, or “kneel and wai before my car”.

" They were instead ordered to carry out 24 hours of community service and to report to the authorities four times every three months. "

Seriously? That's like nothing. It's like 3 full work days of pretend charity work and reporting once a month. What bloody rubbish!

I think 24 hours of being stationed at a traffic light, and 'kraab rot ku' random cars at the red lights would be appropriate.   (With people encouraged to take pictures or videos)

Thai justice for the Hi-so......can't get their hands soiled!

Probably, in the Thai news he was walking into court holding is Mum's hand. Its enough to want to make you puke. This is supposed to be a grown man.  Not even sure why this is news. He got 24 hours community service. That is two days work, whatever it is, its hardly going to kill him, although no doubt he will dislike it.

Do you think he will actually do the 24 hours of community service?  Praew, the hi-so girl who killed a number of people in a van while driving under age on the expressway, probably drunk and using her smart phone at the same time, allegedly paid off the admin director of the hospital she was supposed to do community service in to issue a letter claiming she had done it, even though she was never seen there.  Nott might do a couple of hours of it in front of TV cameras as a publicity stunt and then burger off.

He won't have to do it anyway.

I watched him last night on ThaiTV7, walking around waiing everybody in sight.  He had the same smarmy grin on his face as he has in the above picture.  I'd like to know what community service he actually does; you can bet he won't be sweeping the roads.

People like him make me puke!

That makes 3 of us now that want to puke. 2 years reduced to 1 year as admitted he was a <deleted> , Then as not done time before he gets a bit of community service ,  Never mind lad your mum loves you .

He has that seame look on his face as ' Red Bull ' and that racing benz bloke , makes me want ..............oh I've said that .

Did anybody see full / specific details of what community service he must do?

This is an arrogant, sadistic ass who would benefit greatly from a bit of concrete therapy.

Yes, he's got to wash his car and cut his lawn HIMSELF.   Naturally, he will need some training first, as he has never done jobs like that before.

Probably. But I've no idea who the woman on the left is.

Make the punishment fit the crime.  One law for the poor; no law for the rich.
