Police in Huay Kwang have announced the arrest on a warrant of four ringleaders of a vicious knife attack on a father and son pair of security guards at a Ratchada condo complex on Monday.

Parents of four other teens have turned their sons in and all 8 are now being held. Five more are being sought.

Named were Siripong "Long" Eung, 18, Nampetch "Yoo" Dorkkularp, 19, Tawatchai "Sek" Karam, 18 and Wuthichai "Beer" Khamsawat, 19.

Police said that Siripong was drinking with work buddies under building A at Bell Condo. He threw a beer bottle into the trash but missed then went up to it and kicked it many times smashing it.

A group of ten security guards on duty went up to confront the teen and an argument ensued before they left.

But in the meantime Siripong contacted his gang who use the term "Innocent" as a Facebook Messenger group. He told them there had been trouble and a group of 13 of his mates in total met at Huay Kwang market then went on motorbikes back to the condo.

There they chased the five guards on duty into an office. Nampetch and Wuthichai then attacked head guard Achira Preechakitkosan and his 18 year old son Cheewanon who is also a guard. They used knives that have been taken into evidence.

Achira was hospitalized with wounds to his head, abdomen and ribs. he is still in Ratchathewi Hospital but is out of danger, reported Thai Rath.

His son needed 25 stitches to wounds sustained to his arm, back and foot but is now at home after treatment at Klong Tan Hospital.

The four named suspects have been charged in the warrant with assault, trespass and weapons charges. They are held in an adult prison.

The four others that were handed in by parents are being held in a juvenile facility.

Five others are being sought after the attack, some of which was caught on CCTV.

and yet more Thainess

I have no sympathy whatsoever for this miserable crowd, especially Siripong. Gets upset when chastised for poor behaviour and gathers a full on mob with knives because of his dented pride. The courts have an opportunity here to make  a statement that folk across the country would do well to listen to.

Way too many security being attacked and way too many knife wielding mobs in general.

Very Thai

I was thinking something a bit more Jungle or African savanna.

I see shaved heads and a week at the temple coming up. Oh yeah.... and 500 baht fines just to be sure they are properly punished.

That’ll teach ‘em.

More needed: Teaching behaviour by parents and teachers

Less needed: Violent movies and video games

Something sure is happening in this case, perhaps you missed that.

Sure hope some of these warriors get drafted. They could make great army personnel.

Send a message...... 15 years no parole

Except they lack a few key characteristics: valour, courage, humility, self-sacrifice, honour, respect for others, and moral fortitude. Oh...and balls.

15 years in the slammer is a bit harsh.
But a year in a Thai bootcamp will teach those teens a lesson.

Yes you are right but this is about Thailand not all the world

Thumbs up to the parents for turning in their brats to the police....looks that there is still hope after all ?

Such reckless and despicable teen behaviour seems to be a global issue and not specifically related to Thailand.

And that's why comments bemoaning this is "Thainess", as though it wasn't happening in other places in the world are meaningless.

And yet more ThaiVisa-ness ... In all its pathetic meanness, narrow-mindedness, and post colonial arrogance.

Sadly, nothing in that attitude seems to have changed since 'Burmese Days', in which Orwell so aptly describes the attitude of English expats in Burma, 1934
