irresponsible scum in this instances which unfortunately is not an unusual occurance.

It's not unusual because, afaik, it's the law: one can leave the scene of an accident as long as he/she reports to the police within 24 hours.

Duh......Surely they mean September......?

I ride my car on long distance trips and only drive my motorcycle locally.

Always try to be extra alert when driving the bike and would never goes the seen in the event of an accident. But I have insurance he probably didn't.

It is going to be pretty easy to figure out who this nitwit is, since more than likely he is known to the passenger, who may have been his mother or his sister. What can one even say? I do not think fleeing from the scene a crime, is a crime in itself here. So, people do it all the time. This is the price a nation pays, for stubbornly, and willfully maintaining a lack of deterrents.

A some point, an administration possessing wisdom, intelligence, foresight, and compassion, will start taking traffic safety seriously. Instead of yakking constantly, they will take action, which is what real men do. Until then, the nation will continue to suffer.

Be kind. It's hard for some knowing what month it is.

Would like to hear the story from the passenger as to who the driver was & why they did a runner?

Lol.... I’m flat out with what day of the week it is.

The Thai police really need to enforce the crime of bailing from a scene of an accident as it's almost par-for-the-course here and I'm surprised when a driver doesn't do it.

OT: take those ass----s who run red lights. 3, 4 seconds   a f t e r  the other guys got the green light, they still drive into intersections.

Then there is the need to overtake motorcyclists. Who cares if there will be a red light 100 m ahead. And yes, they almost touch the bikers. ME FIRST.

Another thing they do is overtake a biker, then brake hard to turn left, forcing the biker off the road to avoid a collision.

Had a broken finger and the PU driver had no insurance. Mai pen rai, he paid my hospital bill and was sent on his merry way.
