Crime: Big Oud takes on the Australian Hells Angels

Immigration chief Lt-Gen Sompong "Big Oud" Chingduang is taking on the Australian biker gang the Hells Angels.

Thailand is fed up with the bikers' law breaking whether it is guns or drugs or other activity and orders have come from the very top echelons of the country's political and police systems to take action.

Naew Na mentioned the get tough policies on law breaking foreigners of PM Prayut Chan-ocha and his DPM Prawit Wongsuwan as well as RTP chief Gen Chakthip Chaijinda and his deputy.

Their urgings fed down to Chonburi region 3 level who, with the cooperation of the Australian embassy in Bangkok, helped to take down a man called Luke, 43.

It was discovered that the Australian had a string of conviction for drugs, gun and vehicular crime - in fact he had been busted 21 times.

In addition he was currently named in a warrant issued by a court in Western Australia.

He was arrested and will be thrown out of Thailand to face charges in his homeland.

Lt-Gen Sompong gave all the details in a press conference yesterday at immigration HQ in Bangkok.

The Chonburi chapter of the Hells Angels are known to be especially active in lawbreaking in Thailand, said Naew Na.

Do they even learn about strategic approaches to their work?

The vast majority of Aussie bikers were run out of Pattaya a couple of years ago. Very few, if any around now. I think "Big Oud" has missed the boat.

The "Hell's Angels" these days seem to be a purely criminal outfit; drugs (meth), people smuggling, money laundering, etc. Serious money involved, so I'm sure that someone here hasn't been getting enough to look the other way.

Don't know if it's the same guy but Luke Cook, owner of Jolleys <deleted> Stop bar in Pattaya and alleged Aussie biker, was arrested a couple of years ago for trafficking crystal meth meth and recieved the death sentence. Never did hear what happened to him, released on appeal + big brown envelope?

Also got 3 months a couple of years earlier for his part in the Wayne Schneider (Ausssie biker kingpin) murder.

They just got older and moved to udon or near by.???? The young ones are too busy making the name for themselves back in Oz.

even big names like Russell T, one of the very well known gangsters for decades is now retired and living in Udon

I'll take your word for it but the currnt Luke is said to be 43. Luke Cook must be 40+ now.

On looking at the OP again, agree, looks nothing like Luke Cook.

Looks like Little Oud is following in the footsteps of his predecessor, the biggest joke. Good way to get exiled. Claim alot of credit and grab the headlines. Look forward to watching his downfall. Great entertainment. Well deserved.

This last guy was wanted for two years but was allowed to leave the country, don't you go through some kind of a check when flying internationally? They seem to do a great job in keeping people out of the country, how about some coordination at your borders to keep your felons in?

Out with all the law breaking pack. Good job, Big Oud and Immigration

I wonder if this will have a knock-on effect on all the other biker gangs/MC clubs in Pattaya?

They might find they're not terribly welcome at Immigration when they turn up in motorbike leathers, but hey, at least they're following the dress code of trousers and shoes, so who knows!

He won't have too much difficulty finding them in Chiang Mai, because the house they are using has a big Hells' Angels insignia plastered on the second floor wall facing the soi.

Pattaya is only big enough for one set of criminals and that will be us in the brown uniforms, thank you very much.

Cool!! 5555

I wish you fun, no police in the world won the battle with the Hells Angels

Big Oud is going to need a professional police force if he wants to go down this path.

Pass the popcorn. ????

The Thai Police don't do things with one hand tied behind their backs and have their share in every criminal enterprise that is allowed to operate in Thailand.

They will regard these fat farangs in gay leather chaps as a joke.
