Thai caption: Two foreigners to the rescue after person falls in the moat

Channel 7 national Thai news broadcast footage from CM108.com that showed two westerners dragging a man from the moat in the Suan Prung area of the northern Thai city.

The media said that netizens were widely praising the foreigners for their actions.

Some suggested that the authorities need to put up barriers to stop people falling in.

No one knew why it had happened.

The two westers must be praised for what they have done regardless of the reason the man was in the moat.

looking at his nil response once on dry land either drugs or alcohol.

I think it is, although the spell check may not be working.

Shouldn't there be a massive press conference with all the top brass salivating over a huge vinyl display board? Or does this only happen when farang bad?

Someone I know in Chiang Mai a few years ago was taking photos around the moat of course he was not paying attention and fell in lucky for him a Thai ran over and helped him out

This happened about 300m from my Thai missus' family locksmith shop, (where I first met her 20 years ago). I've lost count of the number of Thai blokes and/or motorcycles that I have seen end up in the drink on this road, especially just after turning left from Wualai Road (Saturday walking street). Alcohol is usually a factor, but where this chap went in is directly in front of the CM mental hospital. Inmates/patients regularly flee the place. Last I heard, the hospital had a capacity of 300 beds and had 600 (or more) inpatients, many of them ya-ba addicts sleeping two to a bed, sardine style, head to toe. Never a dull moment in Changlor Road !

So your not happy when good news is reported you want it to be dragged out even more. I guess there is no pleasing of some people.

Stealing rescue workers jobs! Should be deported ASAP

Seems like it’s always tourists pulling people out of the moat

If he took a mouthful of whats in that moat he's done for anyway.

Looks like CPR was not needed, fortunately. ????

No barriers at all !  my first thought is how dangerous it is especially for kids, but no doubt, will have to wait until someone dies, before any action will be taken.

You think nobody has died yet? Really?

But you do certainly have a good idea about barriers, it would be so nice to have all bodies of water enclosed by barriers world wide.

Would have been more of a news story......if they kicked him back in  ????

From the looks of him I think it would have been better if they had left him in there.

A wall perhaps? The Mexicans will pay.

Anyway, well done foreigners.

Should give them a free Elite visa
