Well I finally got around to watching the final (largely reconstructed) last season of Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown. Final because he offed himself not because it would have ever been cancelled. Is it a spoiler to post the parting song of the series (Lower East side NYC episode)?

Just viewed this fairly new six-part action/adventure/fantasy minseries. It was ok, quite watchable but more Mrs BM's cup of tea than mine tbh.

From IMDb: Tiuri, a teenage squire, answers a call for help that sends him on a perilous mission across the three kingdoms to deliver a secret letter to the King.

Real Detective

Came across this one the other day on RARBG.

There's a lot of crime shows around, this is one of the better ones.

Summary: Each episode is a crime solution reenactment of a real murder. The actual detectives offer commentary throughout the show.

If you like 30 min. short stories,  you may enjoy this. I ended up binging .
The title is meaningless. It's set in New York,  about people a delivery guy encounters in their homes.

High Maintenance  4 x Seasons

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6078096/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

The title refers to the guy making weed deliveries to his customers doesn't it?

Just watched Deadwood the Movie.

Loved the series and hard to believe it was 14 years ago the series finished.

The movie picks up the story and, with the help of flashbacks, fills in the gaps left by the original series.

The unusual language used in the making of the series and the movie ( almost Shakespearian at times ) is as usual overshadowed by the colourful language, best give it a miss if you don’t care for the “ c “ or the “ f “ word.

But if a few cuss words don’t bother you then I recommend you give it a whirl .

Available at all good torrent sites .

have not seen the movie yet - waiting until after I rewatch the entire series. I highly recommend a marvellous and enlightening 'extra' dvd disk which discussed the development of the screen writing; narrated by Keith Carradine (aka Wild Bill Hickock). it provided terrific insight into why that style of language was absolutely necessary to draw you back into that era of the wild west.

Watched e01 of Brave New World. I was underwhelmed.

Just downloaded the season.

Astounding levels of nudity, sex and orgies.

And all really pretty girls, if you like looking at tits, this is the series to watch.

Watched Parasite last night, ok story, could happen in the first half,

the second half just got way out of control.

Sure watch it, it did win the Academy Award for best picture,

but I sure can't understand why.

Recently , The Highwaymen, The Big Short, WW2 in color on net flicks(interesting),

The Duel (lost me somewhere) (Judge Roy Bean was a better Texas ranger movie),

I kinda like a movie that has some history behind it.

A much better movie is "A Simple Plan".

A Simple Plan , is a very good movie,

so down to earth and realistic.

Well except finding an airplane with all that money,

that will never happen for me.

Netflix is a bit too 'woke' for me, I don't want to see my cultural heritage replaced with black actors.

Not until they're prepared to recast 'ZULU' with white Zulu tribal kings anyway.

I wonder when they'll start making westerns where the Indians are played by black actors?

How exactly is a fantasy, fictional story with fictional countries and places "your cultural heritage"?

Human Target

Found this one on RARBG the other day.
Plenty of action and laughs.
Not not to be taken too seriously.

Summary: A unique bodyguard protects his clients by secretly infiltrating their lives in order to draw out and eliminate threats.

The wife and I are really enjoying this series.

As she says... "he's better than James Bond"!

Episode 2, the black kid has escaped and all sorts of people are looking for him.

No other black kids in the country so far.

So the hunters go into a pub .......

"we're looking for a kid"

"What does he look like?"

"Well he's a bit skinny and small"

No mention that he's black, no mention that he has 'Afro style' hair ..........

I guess they didn't notice he was black!

That doesn't answer the question about it being part of your heritage.

Same as Mrs Muton, she likes the action stuff and a bit of comedy thrown in doesn't hurt.

It ain't Westworld but not too bad and worth watching if you're an SF fan. First episode makes it look like typical cr.a.p but it picks up thereafter. Many of the critics on the 'net don't like deviation from the book and many wanted an anti-Trump 1984 kind of series.
