Not sure about Thailand, but in Indonesia "PHD" stands for "Pizza Hut Delivery". She's probably a driver.

I just did some research on Google and these girls describing themselves as PHD's are actually ladyboys. Stands for "Pretty Hot Dude". You learn something every day, I suppose.

My Thai brother in law got a 'Phd', already teaching for 30 odd years. I was amazed as he has no books in his house and I only ever saw him reading the Thai Rath paper. I imagine it's not worth the paper it's written on, he certainly never did a thesis.
