Kanchanaburi: Illegal massage shop raided - Germans disappointed as three Thai women taken in to the police station

A raiding party checking that Covid-19 regulations were being followed to the letter dropped in at a traditional Thai massage shop in Kanchanaburi. 

 

Nothing was happening downstairs at the Daywada on Mae Nam Khwae Road but upstairs it was a different matter. 

 

A German couple were having massages in contravention of the virus regulations. 

 

Manageress Kaewmanee, 47, admitted that she didn't even have a license to operate a "health" establishment.

Rudeemas, 42, and Ratana, 38, said they were employed as masseuses. All three were taken into the police station while the Germans had to go without their massages. 

 

Naew Na reported the story beginning with naming eleven immigration officers from chief Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang down to officers of the rank of senior sergeant major as having been involved in some way in the bust. 

 

The media also mentioned the involvement of the Muang district police, tourist police and protection agencies in enforcing the law.

Kaewmanee faces charges of contravening the Covid-19 regulations and operating a health establishment without a licence. 

 

It was not reported if her employees would face any sanctions.

I imagined a right old orgy going on.

 

These types of incidents give the government more and more excuses to place a 24 hour curfew. Why can't people co-operate? 

This is exactly why they need a proper curfew and lockdown. Can't believe guys I know are still taking hookers back to their condos.....Russian roullete with 5 rounds in the chamber

Germans disappointed, and had to go without their massages! What a pity!

Idiots for wanting to have a massage in this situation.

All around the world others have far more serious things to 'go without' and 'be disappointed about.'

that German has a beard so a mask won't help...he should get fined for keeping that silly beard in these times.

No Social Distancing at the Police Station. However, they seem to be wearing their masks correctly.

 

Think they need to arrest the head honcho in Bangkok for not correctly wearing his mask and risking others.
