All foreign visitors to Hua Hin who arrived after March 15th must report themselves to the authorities immediately.

This applies to anyone who is not already in quarantine and who does not already have a health certificate issued by the district authority, reported Siamrath.

It does not apply to migrant workers from Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia but applies to everyone else.

There are four places where you can report: Ban Bor Fai School, Khao Phitak School, Hua Hin 3 Hospital and the Hua Hin district offices.

You have until next Friday April 10th to comply.

Prachuab Khiri Khan governor Phallop Singsaenee signed off on the order among a raft of more Covid-19 restrictions effective until the end of April.

He wanted a full list of all foreigners who arrived in Hua Hin after March 15th. He expects the list by Saturday 11th.

Health officials, police and immigration were out "surveying" the Khao Tao housing estate yesterday doing PR to get the many foreigners staying there to go and report themselves, said the media.

Latest to be banned by the order is any congregating on the entire length of beach from Hua Hin to Bang Saphan Noi - 220 kilometers.

The following activities are also now banned: Kite surfing, jet-skis, Banana boats and other water sports.

Supermarket and convenience stores were ordered shut from 10 pm to 4 am.

But doesnt apply for workers from myanmar, laos or cambodia?

I can see some money being paid for this reporting and health check ups being required.

Seems to me many are over reacting to this.

Thais who move back to a village or an area also have to report themselves to the Poo Yai baan.

Its not unreasonable. This is being blown out of proportion and is actually attributable to anyone. All those moved out of Bangkok back to their homes etc all had to report and self isolate for 14 days.

So if you’re a worker from a neighboring country you don’t have to report for anything but if you’re rich foreigner then you must jump through hoops here You’re a racist to me TIT

Maybe it could also be because the epicenter of the virus is in Europe and US (Farang Lands) and not in neighboring  countries. They are just trying to track down potential virus bearers.

more racist (deleted) so a Thai arriving from Bangkok or any other risky area in Thailand is "No risk at all" just those pesky foreigners

Like I said in another thread - forced testing is next for all foreigners - what an earner - it's all about the money

You can see it coming, these lot know no limits to greed...... Give one an action man uniform and they turn into Mussolini........ Clap your hands and off comes the uniform while they're running away........  low life....

Perhaps the governor should check with immigration...I'm sure they have all the paperwork he could dream of.

And if he's still not sure then he can email or phone these filthy farang, so his police don't need to get close to them!

Yeah, that's it. Because, ya know, the Chinese, who inflicted this tragedy on the world and then lied about it, were quickly barred from entry into the kingdom and subjected to the same. Ahem.

Racism on steroids.  The fact that farangs are considered to be evil, dangerous, and a risk to Thai "national security" is something that is indelibly inked into the psyches of all members of the ruling class of Thailand.  It's a phenomenon that began when Thais first saw European sailing ships arriving on their shores and plying up the Chao Praya striking fear into their hearts.  But unlike virtually all countries around them which now consider Europeans to be an asset whose money and presence supports their economies, Thailand still harbors a totally irrational fear of all farangs.  The Thai psyche has never evolved with the modern times.  It suffers from a culturally embedded paranoia that "all farangs are out to get us and here to take all that we have."
These people need to dose themselves with lithium to counteract their mania and paranoia.
But instead, they resort to tracking all farangs.  It's not a leap to see where this irrational fear of farangs can lead.  History is replete with examples of the consequences of harboring irrational, racial fears of other nationalities.  And taking to extremes, it becomes a danger to those who are targets of racially induced fear and loathing.

This portraying foreigners as boogeymen is becoming a serious concern

Study history.  The reaction by those who govern is already a hysterical response targeting foreigners who are predominately of European decent, i.e., farang.

If that hysteria is picked and amplified in the Thai community, this exercise in racial profiling could actually become extremely dangerous to life and limb of farang expats and tourists alike in the coming days and weeks.  As a previous poster noted, watch out if this suddenly becomes a witch hunt stoked by the paranoia of local authorities.

Personally i think any foreigner who feels the need to trot out small penis jokes deserves any ill attention that may come their way.

There may come a time when the hysteria and entitlement of many who post here will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Keep telling your host government they are idiots, keep calling the thai people monkeys, play don Quixote over wearing a face mask with local business owners, lets just see where that course of action gets us.

After all, thailand would never follow australias humanitarian lead would they?

Nah you're missing his point, he wants Farangs to crawl up to his desk and beg forgiveness for being alive, he's probably a relation of A-NUT -IN ...... Actually checking through immigration data is too much work for such an esteemed individual, after all it never mentioned working like that when he bought his job.....

It is pertinent to say these jerks that they can't run their country. Why are these idiots calling people to catch COVID in some dirty office,  while the data they want to collect can be extracted from the TM 30 database through a very simple query?

uhm ,no

, you are slightly off target there.

we had to take two guests to register today, as well as myself, they simply wanted to know how long we had been in country and as we had a guest check in a few days ago they asked as to her movements to see if she had been to a hotspot.

It has nothing to do with racism, it is simply that most of the stupid farang in this country get on their high horse and scream about any complication in their precious lives and continue to break the rules. weather we like them or not we should obey them.

God knows as soon as an immigrant in our home countries does something wrong we certainly complain about that well now the shoe is on the other foot.

Complain, bitch and moan all you like, if you look at the number of infections or dead in Thailand taking into account, how long the virus has been in the country and then compare it to a "First" world country like Australia or The Almighty USA, the take into account the respective populations of aforementioned countries, then this little backwater we call home has done very well for itself.

And my family and our last remaining customers are happy to put up with a few inconveniences to help minimise our risk of exposure.

one of our guests from Spain has no intention of returning home until she has too, she feels much safer here.

really guys, have a think about it, the Govt. is trying to control this virus and as guests in this country we should accept our fate.

What to do first? Register at Immigration or with the Governor? Just in new rental abode, another district of Hua Hin. I would have thought at Immigration first but are they open at all?

Thanks
