The mayor of Prachuap Khiri Khan - a man known as "Mayor Gear" - has called for a number of senior officials to forego their salaries this month.

Instead, the money raised will go to buying PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for foundations and medical staff involved in Covid-19 work.

The suggestion, that is set to raise 720,000 baht, was well received by Thai netizens.

That request will go down like a lead balloon......:whistling:

Just wondering approximately how much do they make per month? Thai government is always waiting donations from other countries.

There should just be a cut in military spending and  give that to medical staff.

Ok i know im dreaming.

Guess they make x-fold of it in side business anyway.

He makes most of his money not by his salary this is Thailand rememberHis salary is the smallest thing he makes TIT

Now that is a somber looking meeting

No masks, no smiles, and Mayor Gear has just gone into reverse with a crunch...
