Eighty one year old woman stabs neighbor in argument over dog

Police in Hat Yai in southern Thailand arrested an 81 year old woman after she stabbed a female neighbor with a fruit paring knife.

 

It was the latest in a long running feud over their pet dogs. 

 

When police arrived in Soi 15 Rat Uthit Road they found Sano, 81, waiting in her nightdress. There were blood droplets at the scene and a six inch knife.

 

Fifty eight year old Oi, who lives opposite, had already been taken to Hat Yai Hospital with a stab wound to her right arm. 

 

The old lady told investigators that she had been hit in the face with a shoe and had responded with the knife.

She told reporters at the police station that she had taken her dog out to urinate in the street. 

 

Oi was passing with her dog and the animals started to bark and fight before the owners attacked each other. 

 

Her neighbor's husband then came out and smacked the old lady in the mouth while his son held her. 

 

 

They had argued about their dogs two months ago when Sano said that Oi sprayed water on her dog for barking. 

 

The old lady has been charged with dangerous assault. Police will interview her and her neighbors again before deciding how to proceed in the matter.

Make both parties put anti barking collars on their dogs and problem solved no more barking or fighting .

I think old granny is a gem, hit in the mouth by a hero as the son holds her and belted with a shoe

Yet still has the guts to use that rusty old knife

Thats the kind of neighbour you need to keep the trash out of the area

Crazy madness!

Dogs needs exercise and freedom to do so, but to be controlled. Not easy in a soi, and more so when 'owned' by idiots.

Then it's self defense. You got two strong men holding and hitting a lone 81-year-old woman while another much younger woman berates her, and you're saying the old woman can't defend herself? If this happened in the US she could have shot all three dead and walked. 

Buy a rabbit and roast the dogs and it will keep the ladies happy no matter their age ????

Are you using this as an example of how things are done in a civilised country or the opposite, I presume the latter but that was unnecessary, we all know how things are done in the US.

Dogs again, nothing but pests and trouble makers the lot of 'em

looking at that knife she better get a tetanus shot.

Me too, from the description of the battle, with father and son involved unbelievable isn't it?  Just one old lady and so many people had to beat her?

Dogs deserve more love than an old lady.

When you see an old lady walking the dog , kick the old lady and kiss the dog.

I'd give granny a medal !

I assume neither dog was on a leash - otherwise it would have been easy to keep them separated.

 

But leashes for dogs are very uncommon in SEA as far as I've observed.
