Pilotman
So its not 'Walking Street' at all, its just 'A Street'. Just one more down market soi in Pattaya. They never learn how to produce some better class amenity. Edited August 8, 2020 by Pilotman
Popular Post johnnybgood
The clue is in the name 'Walking'. Obviously the sex drugs and rock n roll is available throughout Pattaya. The reason Walking Street was an attraction was because it was a refuge from Thai traffic. There are not many streets/pavements in sleaze central you can safely rubber neck without getting a motorbike up yer anus?

Popular Post pepi2005
Why is it that in Thailand, government officials seem to always announce ideas that are exactly the opposite of what one would think makes rational sense? 9 1

Guderian
Where do they get this nonsense from? A "24-hour Walking Street" would imply no cars at any time. What they've got now is 24-hour car access so it's no longer a Walking Street. Or else why not just rename Second Road "24-hour Second Walking Street", lol? 1

Benmart
From years of living and driving all across Thailand, one-way streets only exist in the minds of those who observe and obey such signage. As for the former "Walking Street", its construction and width begs for congestion, selfish double-parkers and one-way, scooter bound scofflaws. Another poorly contrived idea from above.

pepi2005
On course of destroying the last few spots this city had that made it special. Almost all GREEN already removed from the formerly called 'green hill' Pratumnak, red-light of the former RED-LIGHT city reduced to a few 'designated areas' to 'save face of Thai people', the formerly 'city that never sleeps' has been put to sleep from 3am even when there was no talk of 'Covid', now fun center 'Walking Street' gets turned into boring 'One-way driving Soi'. What else can they come up with to destroy the last interesting tourism spots?

Skallywag
Geez, I hope this is fake news. Less traffic needed everywhere here. Every road west of Sai song should be blocked off to cars after dark. 1
crazykopite
How can it be called Walk In Street if they now allow one way traffic that’s why they advertise the country as Amazing Thailand as I am amazed at the crazy ideas these people come up with the L????L
Saltire
I hope, when they come back, that 'traffic' does not include large tour buses. Foreign tours won't even have to leave their aircon seat to ogle.

thailand49
Desperation for sure grasping for straws as they say, pretty much consistent with this Mayor. Country is locked down so they want to bring the locals business from 3rd Road, nightclubs like Hollywood etc down to W.S. I guess if they want the business GoGo owners will also start to let more locals in thus the working girls will be leaving so there goes the Farangs what is left of them to the L.K. area bye W.S. They are to Lazy to go the Right way and they think that they are above the law.
