Biden needs a bit of a reality check - his country is in disarray yet he is interfering in an ally's sovereignty already. Look Joe, take all your <deleted> out of Lakenheath and Mildenhall, Fairford and the other 10 bases and go camp on Merkel's doorstep and see if SHE'll have you if you don't want to trade with us.

We did fine with Australia and New Zealand before, we buy and sell already with many non-EU countries and non-US. We'll do fine while you try and save your sinking ship.

It would not surprise anyone if to keep trading harmony the Republic of Ireland didn't elect to leave the EU in order to harmonise the border again, especially as the EU is clearly imploding and losing our money is going to hasten that. Germany and France have already refused to pick up the financial slack and no deal exit by the UK means no more money from us too which is why Bojo is so unperturbed by a no deal exit.

It's Biden who needs a reality check?

Were you wounded during the Blitz?

To avoid an Irish border it's a must to reunite Ireland, because

I don't think NI will be happy to cut off from England and ROI. ????

I don't really think that Boris really thinks about things in this depth.  However it would be the most monumental  laugh if he had actually set himself up for the most immortal bruising in Political history, into the bargain.

The UK and the EU.

For the EU, protecting their single market and making things difficult for the UK seems more important than maintaining peace in Northern Ireland. It's the EU who would (allegedly) insist on these border checks on the island of Ireland, not the UK. The UK government have stated categorically that they will not put border checks in place.

But the fact is, the EU could have easily solved the border issue over the past 4-5 years. They chose not to because they wanted to use it as a stick to beat us with. We even heard them saying this in those recorded meetings. Just wait and see when we leave with no deal, the EU will miraculously find a solution to the border issue.

It's an absolute disgrace the EU are willing to play these games at the expense of the people of NI.

Biden, the plastic Irishman needs to aim his verbal missiles toward the EU not the UK. But that doesn't fit with his globalist agenda.

No the EU is the one with the most power and now with backing of the US the Brits have less power so accept it of accept what happens if you don't do it. That is how negotiations work. Those with the most power set the rules and say take it or leave it. The EU is not going to change its rules to make the Brexiteers happy. They can either take it or leave it.

Then have a bad US deal and a bad EU deal, two of the biggest trading blocks. So let them choose what they want their freedom and what they think should be or a good economy. The choice is theirs. Swallow pride or keep the shoulders up and accept their economy will suffer.

EU always wans a level playing field the UK just choose to ignore it. " easiest deal ever !!!"  we leave and get this done. That was wat BJ from his alternative universe said.

Not an option until and unless the majority of the people of Northern Ireland agree to it.

Forcing unification would cause as many problems from Unionist terrorists as closing the border would bring from Republican ones!

The demographic changes already underway in NI make union with the Republic inevitable.  The old generation of unionists is dying off and being replaced by young people who want the higher standard of living in the Republic.

More like a bucket full of heritage.

And not unique as POTUS as he is one of at least 22 POTUS' who have Irish roots.

His heritage comes from two families (Blewitts and Finnegan) who settled in the US from Ireland in the mid-1850's.

Ref. The Sun 11 Nov 2020.

Also note that Biden is Catholic, another Irish dimension.

Biden is American no matter how much you doth protest, so by your reckoning my Viking Heritage gives me the right to get my Fjord Escort out of the garage and travel to Norway and stick my nose in their internal affairs?

Biden, you may be interested to learn, is not the only Irish American.  The Irish American population is about six times the size of Ireland.

A lot of us look forward to the not too far-off day when Sinn Fein forms its first government in the Republic.

The "Irish" Americans want to sort their own problems out first, starting with the paedo priests. I wonder what percentage of them claim Irish heritage. And to remember that they are Americans and nothing else.

One good thing about them is that according to the New York AOH they do wear the Poppy for Remembrance. Unlike their even more deluded friends in the British Isles, who refuse because they say it is British.

One day somebody will educate them and they will discover that it's origins are Canadian.

Brexit.?.......... What will be will be.

Just how Irish is Biden ?

And it really doesn't matter. There is sn Irish lobby.  Apart from his Irish heritage. there's the fact that the Clinton administration brokered the Good Friday agreement.

Totally irrelevant.

And the card he’s playing is an ace.

The UK meanwhile has a handful of nothing and everyone knows it.

The UK/ EU negotiations  end on Decenter 31 st , Biden is due to become POTUS on 20 January .

His point of view is currently irrelevant and the UK will talk to him once he officially gets the job .

We will deal with the EU first and then the USA , once they get settled
