Popular Post Mutt Daeng
I've just watched a 4 part mini series called The Virtues with Stephen Graham playing the lead role. Mutt Daeng
I recently binge watched 8 seasons of Inspector George Gently (played by Martin Shaw), which is a British crime drama set in the north east of England. Now on DCI Banks, which I am enjoying, maybe because it is filmed in my old stomping ground and have seen some places I recognise already ????

I liked George Gently, as I was born in NE England and lived there for 50+ years. I recognised and have been to most of the places featured on the show. I've already downloaded DCI Banks. It's on my soon-to-watch list. Edited October 23, 2021 by Mutt Daeng
Mike Teavee
Binge watched The Devil Next Door (Story of the Prosecution of John "Ivan" Demjanjuk for his role in the Polish concentration camps during WWII. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11165002/ I couldn't stop watching it, though had to turn away at times as some of the pictures they showed were really harrowing. They are rewriting history trying to convince us that the UK has always been very multi cultural. Head of Police is often black or Asian and even the commander of nuclear subs! It's tolerable in the present, but anything historical is incredibly annoying as they are not only misrepresenting the past but certain races are almost debarred from being cast in negative roles- when was the last time you saw a black actor cast as a rapist, murderer or terrorist?

spidermike007
Really enjoyed Paris, je t'aime. An offbeat collection of over 20 short films, woven into one somewhat interconnected story, many of which were directed by top talent like the Coen brothers, Payne, Cuaron, Craven, Salles, Craven, etc. Some shorts missed the mark, some were very good, all were a tribute to Paris. Alot of fun to watch, and some of the stories stayed with me. In French with subs. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401711/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_4

I liked it Jagger stole that movie. I could not keep my eyes off of him, the entire time he was on screen. Considering how iconic a character he is, it is surprising he has not done more movies. Guess he keeps pretty busy with the Stones, as he is still touring at his ripe old age! Sutherland was good too, as usual. Not a great film. But worth a watch, if you are bored. thaibeachlovers
Saw The last duel. Despite being slightly woke and PC, I give it 8 out of 10, which is higher than most movies I see. I didn't even recognise Mat Damon, or Ben Affleck till I saw the credits. Can't say that I'd like to live back then. Well done to Ridley Scott for not making another Robin Hood fiasco.
