I sort of remember this movie coming out but for some reason did not see it.

 

Tom Hardy is Tommy Conlon , a former marine, comes home to get back into the fighting game, his brother Brendan ( Joel Edgerton ) also gets back into it for financial reasons. The two boys, a long time estranged, are heading for a showdown in the octagon. Nick Nolte plays the recovering alcoholic father Paddy trying desperately to right his past wrongs and gain some respect from his sons.

 

Along with the many fight scenes there’s a strong family drama in this movie and ignoring the remarkably climatic rise of both brothers is, imho, a great movie.

It’s a classic underdog story x 2, think Rocky in MMA , 

 

 

I've watched this and thought it was pretty good.

Sorry, I normally say where it's available, but I thought this would be on most torrent sites because it's a new release, a screener in fact, but anyway, I dl'd it on Torrent Galaxy.

I just decided to download some of "Inspector Morse"...1987....see how it stands up to Vera etc....

Decided to watch the new release, "Kate" and IMO it was absolute rubbish.

That is over 1 1/2 hours of my life I will never get back!!

Saw that. 'Nakita' meets 'Crank'. I watched it alone late at night so it was 1 1/2 hours less of having to listen to my wife snoring. That was about the only redeeming factor I could think of.

OK mate--if you feel you can face it---"Strictly come dancing"  will now include Guys dancing together-- first one is John Whaite & his partner, he is the guy who came first for baking the best Cake in the "Bake Off" series last year.

 

Should be riveting watching................................................

Why would you put yourself through the first 3 episodes, if you thought it was that bad?

I struggled to get through episode 1.

One of the greatest songs ever written, and it is absolutely timeless. Sounds like it was written yesterday. An astonishing work, by a great band in their prime. The Beatles could not have lasted. They were too astonishing, too ground breaking, they shined too bright for this world.
