There's more to this story than meets the eye.

Why?

Must be more to this story, perhaps he was a known employee, any other airport in the world the car would have been immediately riddled with a hail of bullets!

An armed officer would first establish what was in the car could have been carrying explosives one shot could be causing a lot of damage

You forget the time that thousands of Yellow Shirts occupied the country's main airport, then all the other international airports and nothing was ever done about it.

I clearly just got lost due to a GPS issue.

No Law, Banana Republic.

Of course there is law and this is not allowed. Like many things people get complacent.

Only two possibilities:

  • Somchai took his unpaid car for a spin on a free of charge highway
  • a dirty Farang wanted to get out of Thailand without an air ticket

Your call!

picking up drugs from runway (dropped from landing earlier air plane) or delivering stash directly to the departing one?

Air America????? :cheesy:

A plane could be seen in the background?  What , at an airport?  What have things come to in this country?

"Apprehended quickly ? not quickly enough,!!!

Lucky the airport traffic so slow at present or could have been a disaster

With the spoilers some of these cars in thailand have on the back of their cars i wouldn't be surprised if he tried to do a liftoff .

He didn’t want to pay any entry tax of 300bht for his mum. So he thought picking her up at the gate was easiest.

Apparently he did file a flight plan, he just forgot to glue the wings onto his vehicle.

Not funny at all.  Impact with an aircraft would have resulted in many deaths.

Negative statement on security.  Not over yet. Airlines will be furious.

Easy to explain:

"Don't close the lock on the gate completely, well be back next week."

Damned lucky it wasn’t a terrorist or a heavily armed soldier intent on doing harm like the guy in Korat.

A classic case of brake failure !   A man ?  So we can safely say it was a Thai then as if it had been a farang can you imagine the headlines ?

"Farang endangers Thailands security and all farangs are requested to leave the country to maintain security peace and happiness"   ( Ministry of silly walks and utter nonsense )..............

I know Thais like taking shortcuts but getting a bit extreme with this one !

Brakes failed while picking up his mother from arrivals

Have you forgotten the new fad that was started just a few weeks ago?  It is now problems related to the clutch.

Can anyone imagine this happening in an advanced country ?

was it your wife doing a meet and greet ?

What Thailand will do to stay in the news! One of their own employees. Why you think they kept the camera far away so you could not see who the person was! ????????????????????????

Ahhh.

He was clutching at his mother's breast, then lost control.
