Perhaps partly due to TOT in that case - True has very good connectivity to Singapore and believe that is where main servers are.  But a week or so ago was also having issues (when only Oz connections seemed to work) but has been good for last week.

My Speedtest.net (using WiFi on computer to not full speed) just now:

Singtel.

207ms ping 20 down/40 up no VPN

037ms ping 43 down/38 up using VPN

Likewise, I use True and have had zero issues in the last two or three days, last time was a brief issue 10 days or so ago.

08 ms ping, 46 down, 61 up, no VPN, using an Adblocker.

whats this ad's thing people keep talking about ?

If your use of the Forum is not troubled by pop-up ads blocking the screen, you are most probably using an Ad-blocker, otherwise you would have experienced that nuisance.

... i dont use any kind of ad blocker. i'm just a very brave man that's all.

Thans, my Burning Reynard works fine with 2 'built-in' add-ons blocking all the nuisance...

I'd rather be inclined to say its this site rather than TOT. I use TOT for all other internet access and never get 552 errors from sites besides this one.

So presumably you weren't affected by the 2 TOT mega-crashes yesterday and the day before, like I was - see the 2 dramatic spikes in the "This week's connection drop rate" graph in this link:-

How can the TOT connection affect only Thai visa forum?

I am in Thailand using TOT, i don't use a VPN or an add blocker

and the only site with problems seems to be this forum

(Again a lot of 500 something errors in the last days when trying to connect

or using the forum)

i use a lot of others sites and forums and all are fine so far, except TVF

1.  IP range

2.  Slower circuit to Singapore.

3.  Routing through a node that has issues.

4.  Bad karma.

At a time about 2 weeks ago I was only able to access using a VPN in Oz or for those there direct from Australia.  Indeed it is only the forum that has these issues.  So if he can try other locations using VPN he might be able to connect, perhaps first try Singapore.  As admin stated above Cloudflare/servers have been having issues and still not resolved it seems.

Since a few days the English language ThaiVisa forum opens without content...The French version downloads like ever before, however, it takes ages for translating its content! Wonder what could be causing this glitsch...Appreciate restoration of  the English language TV so I can read what's occupying other members.

are they ever going to fix the feature that sends you to the last comment you read, instead of back to top of the topic every time?

... yeah, sucks ... I increasingly now find myself using '?do=getNewComment' inserted after the url as suggested by others ... annoying, you bet, but usually way faster than looking through pages of posts searching for your last read ...

Threads you're interested in you better 'follow' anyway to spare you that hassle.

=> Here's also a workaround for the missing 'back to top' button/arrow, just stumbled upon it by chance aka. clumsy fingers:

Once you reach the end of the posts on a page  hit the page-number of this very same page down there, brings you back up not exactly to the top of page but top of postings, still saves you plenty of scrolling ...

There are also browser extensions for them 'go to top' features.

I'm not finding the difficulties you describe. In fact it seems quite good and there is a lot of good information and features to keep me abreast of happenings in Thailand.

Two out of every three clicks the last few days have resulted in a 522 error.

I can hardly remember when I was last able to read an item in the newsletter, every item just clicks straight through to 522.

It may be OK to get your kicks on Route 66, but there's nothing I can do about a 522, lol.

I can't even add a 56kB attachment to this.

Ludicrous, please fix it.
