even, if the majority were in detention centers, still it looks like there is also rise in clusters spread from bank kae markets.

And, of course, prison guards are at risk. As with burmese workers in samut sakhon, those infected are not necessarily separated from the negatives.

Of the new cases, 337 were local transmissions, while 18 were imported from people entering quarantine. 46 others were found from  contact tracing.

337+18=355 yet there were 401 cases reported. There are 2 categories local and imported. Those found by contact tracing are apparently neither locally transmitted or imported.

Most of the new cases are linked to an outbreak at immigration detention centres in Bangkok at Bang Khen and Suan Plu.

How they can be linked?

Someone who ends up in immigration detention centre, doesn't enter Thailand again any time soon

It's strange that there is 18 people new covid-19 when entering quarantine, because if you travel by plane from other countries YOU MUST have RT-PCR covid-19 test NEGATIVE.

did the air crew ? Or the immigration staff ? Or was the plane cleaned before use  ?

Thailand today recorded 401 new COVID-19 cases, including a cluster of 318 infections among illegal immigrants held at Suan Plu and Bang Khen detention centres, the CCSA announced today (Tuesday).

Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul maintains, however, that the current surge in new cases is not a sign of a third wave of infections, but just cluster infections and that the situation is under control.

Of the new cases, 383 are locally-acquired infections, including 337 found during proactive screening in communities.
