Biden says he plans to run for re-election in 2024

By the look of it, Biden's not going to make it past the next frost.

America has subjected itself to a tremendous risk of intra-term succession - and the V-P is  completely unqualified for the job.

This is what happens when reason is replaced by emotion. The coming decade will see the terrible effects of this worldwide.

Edit: and before someone says 'Trump was a man of reason?' - no, Trump was another idiot. I'm talking about American politics in general.

In the past week or so, this guy fell up his airplane stairs, called another person the president, and today lost the plot in a press conference and then claimed to be over 120 years old.

No, there is no targeting of anything other than fraud. The ID requirements are for everyone, race or financial status is not.

Every study every done into voter fraud has concluded that it is vanishingly rare as a phenomenon. Introducing new and onerous requirements for voter ID is a solution in search of a problem.

Republicans have made it clear through public utterances that this is not about assuring the integrity of elections, it's about reducing the amounts of voters in a way that will make it easier for them to win elections.

As Alice O’Lenick, Republican chairwoman of the Gwinnett County election board in Georgia, said in January:

Quote

I will not let them end this session without changing some of these laws. They don’t have to change all of them, but they’ve got to change the major parts so that we at least have a shot at winning.

Republican resists calls to step down

It doesn't get much more blatant than that.

Or perhaps it does.

Conservative lawyer Michael Carvin, representing the Republican National Committee before the Supreme Court, when asked why the RNC was involved in a local case over voters rights was equally frank, stating as follows:

"Because it puts us at a competitive disadvantage relative to Democrats,” he said. “Politics is a zero-sum game, and every extra vote they get [...] hurts us.'

The GOP's war on voter rights

5 states with Republican governors and majority Republican legislatures conducted exhaustive investigations into voter fraud. They came up with virtually nothing.

There was voter fraud in Florida in the 2020 election after all.

And the alleged perpetrator, foul-mouthed Frank Artiles, is getting his due.

The disgraced former Florida lawmaker and GOP operative is charged with making a mockery of democracy: rigging a 2020 state Senate race in Miami-Dade by planting and paying $44,708 to a bogus, no-party candidate with a similar name to the Democratic incumbent.

His masterful strategy to win for the GOP — now the stuff of riveting search and arrest warrants — was to siphon off votes from the Democrat.

None of those states performed signature or valid voter registration address audits. None.

Recounts are not audits

Nonsense. These investigations were not about individual elections. Rather they were investigations into the identity of who was voting and their eligibility to do so.

For one thing, a driver's license is the most commonly used form of ID. So the lower your income, the less likely you are to have a driver's license.

Georgia DMV offers voter ID free, so please stop with the excuses.

You still have to get there.

These allegations have been going on for years. Has some new evidence cropped up to show things have changed? Did they finally track down those millions of illegal immigrant voters? Were the voters in those convoys from Massachusetts that transported voters to New Hampshire finally tracked down?

Come on.  Your arguments don't make sense.  Trump's incompetence cost the lives of tens of thousands of Americans.  Hard to compare that to comments here by anti-Trump members.  Which happens to be the majority of Americans.

Birx recalls 'very difficult' call with Trump, says hundreds of thousands of Covid deaths were preventable
"I look at it this way: The first time, we have an excuse," Birx said about the initial surge of deaths. "All of the rest of them, in my mind, could have been mitigated or decreased substantially."

I'm pretty sure Chiphigh was referring to the 2020 election, not 2018.

When Trump made the claim at that time that illegal aliens voted by  millions, GOP States frantically investigated and found nothing.

Let's guess, why is it they don't do it again? In particular, why don't they do it before deciding voter restrictions? If there is so much overwhelming evidence waiting to be found, as claimed by Chiphigh, that would be the first thing to do. Prove the case, and then vote restrictions,

Why is it they don't want to do it? Could it be that..... Oh No! That's not possible! ????????????????????????

Why would that make a difference? There is no new  evidence - at least not reality-based evidence - that supports claims of significant voter fraud.

I was referring to the link to a 2018 investigation in Kansas but never mind!

But to react to what you have written, from what I remember, although some parties certainly seemed to be frantic at the time, no serious investigations were allowed to be pursued to finality, either frantically or otherwise.

Actually, the propagation of a lie is important to me. What's clearly not important to supporters of this nonsense is honest evidence.

Because the long lines are in poorer and minority precincts and they want people particularly black people to give up and go home. Its disgusting. We've got the racist Republican party's number. The fight is on.

In the first place, why the need to change the Georgia election laws when there was no widespread election fraud, Oh, I forgot. The Republicans lost and they can't win back the black and independent voters.

Am I biased....am I blinded by bias?.....Are Republicans the most reprehensible creatures on the face of the earth?

If they are, as I suspect, how on earth do they have so many supporters?

You're so right, the nerve of those bad republicans requiring an ID to vote, those bad racist right wingers. We all know blacks are incapable of obtaining a free Voter ID.

Disgraceful repeating of fake news.

Quoting directly from the bill - NOTE THE LAST SENTENCE !!!

"No person shall solicit votes [or] distribute or display any campaign material, nor shall any person give, offer to give, or participate in the giving of any money or gifts, including, but not limited to, food and drink, to [a voter] … This Code section shall not be construed to prohibit a poll officer…from making available self-service water from an unattended receptacle to [a voter] waiting in line to vote."

The closure of the world news forum was only a matter of time. Just a shame the forum rules could not have been adhered to - as they are on every other section of the site. After years of depravity encouraging the mocking of Trump's physical characteristics and pushing all unsourced fake news as fact we arrive in 2021. A year where there really is a swamp beast, a corrupt senile old fool in the white house - with unexplainable money links to China and Russia, with rock hard evidence corroborating his family clans corruption in every way possible, of course discussion must be silenced now.

 Ah well, c'est la vie.
