Disgraceful repeating of fake news.

Quoting directly from the bill - NOTE THE LAST SENTENCE !!!

"No person shall solicit votes [or] distribute or display any campaign material, nor shall any person give, offer to give, or participate in the giving of any money or gifts, including, but not limited to, food and drink, to [a voter] … This Code section shall not be construed to prohibit a poll officer…from making available self-service water from an unattended receptacle to [a voter] waiting in line to vote."

https://www.dailywire.com/news/joe-biden-media-claim-georgia-law-prevents-giving-water-to-voters-in-line-thats-not-true

The closure of the world news forum was only a matter of time. Just a shame the forum rules could not have been adhered to - as they are on every other section of the site. After years of depravity encouraging the mocking of Trump's physical characteristics and pushing all unsourced fake news as fact we arrive in 2021. A year where there really is a swamp beast, a corrupt senile old fool in the white house - with unexplainable money links to China and Russia, with rock hard evidence corroborating his family clans corruption in every way possible, of course discussion must be silenced now.

 Ah well, c'est la vie.

you proved my point.

It is illegal to give them food and water.

Why on earth do that. How about asking themselves why they have to line up for hours to vote and fix that issue.

Maybe the Reps should look inwards and take a deep dive understanding as what caused the losses in strong red states rather trying to do an unecessary patchwork on election laws. Perhaps even shake off the Mar-lago albatross which contribute to losses in the house, congress and white house. Why even bother with voter ID when they should try to win back the portion of voters who turned on them. Now I understand why thousands of Reps are deserting the party every month. The party is resorting to cheap shots to win.

You know they aren't up to that. They know they can win with the dirty stuff and that's their track, no going back.

Twenty years ago a couple of folks named Greg Vogle and Richard Blee wrote a intel report trying to convince Bush II to hit the aQ camps then go home, because ANY departure from Afghanistan was going to result in deaths. What is happening now would have happened in 2002-2021.

What made Biden's job so much more difficult was the mess 45 left for him. Perhaps you are unaware, but 45 did this:

-Followed a Saudi Arabia/MbS request to release the co-founder of the Taliban. That man will soon be the new Afghan President

-The Saudis also requested 45 force the release of 5000 Taliban warriors 'as a measure of good faith'. 45 did it, and those 5000 are now in Kabul fighting.

-45 once agreed to meet the Taliban at Camp David, the date to be 9-11.  His staff convinced him the 'optics' would be bad

-45 and his racist advisor stephen miller made the SIV process extremely onerous, and that resulted in massive delays in processing visas for Afghans who aided the US during the 20 year war. THAT held up evacuations.

Now perhaps you can explain how someone who undoubtedly couldn't find Afghanistan on a map would have done it differently and better. Biden has gotten almost 100,000 folks evacuated in a week.

Let's see.....Biden's job numbers are way better than 45, who had a net loss of jobs during his tenure. The economy is also better under Biden. 45 presided over almost 600,000 Covid deaths, despite "it's only 15 people and soon it will go down to zero" , or "magically go away", or "churches will be full by Easter (2020)".

45 even messed up the vaccine rollout, getting maybe 5000-10000 fo9lks a day vaxxed. ALmost immediately Biden's team was vaxxing 1,000,000 a day and on some days even hit 2,000,000.

45 likes to claim credit for the vaccine. Pfizer---the primary US vax---received no money nor help from 'warp speed'. They did it on their own.

The current surge of Covid is primarily in places where 45-sycophants like desantis and abbott stand in the way of science.  Plus, the anti-mask and anti-vax folks constantly quote their 'hero' 45. Also, poison control is getting inundated with folks taking horse de-worming pills, which were trumpeted by 45 along with hcq. At least folks have stopped drinking Lysol and sticking UV lights up their backside (no, that was NOT sarcasm by 45).

I was all for seeing what biden would do as president? I'll guarantee you if election was held today Mr Trump would win. If Trump had a crack head son do you not think it (the news) would be everywhere. The media shares the blame for biden becoming POTUS. They failed to let the American people see the real biden. Even today the media holds his hand and coddles him during interviews. Biden has done nothing but make America weak.

Good gosh. You've really drank the koolaid.

A can of tomato soup would have been a better president than Tweety. LOL

Deflect? Not at all. But right back at you. We know you are a hard core trump supporter. Sadly.

The jury will be out on the Biden presidency until he retires. So far, he is light years ahead of the previous administration. At least he knows what's in the constitution and how government works.

Historians have rated Donald Trump at the bottom of the pack in US presidential performance.

Donald Trump failed America because he is, as he always has been, an incompetent, immoral, unethical, childish hothead, pathological liar, con-man and he suffers from severe mental disorders, which render him incapable of attending any issue beyond his own personal need for adulation.

On the world stage with his boundless greed and gullibility, Donald the blowhard is a sitting duck for slick manipulators and experienced flatterers who can steer him in any given direction. Trump is a fool controlled by slick opportunists. Recall Helsinki and his pathetic groveling, weak bashful deference to Putin or his brainless "love affair" with Kim Jong Un.

With his selfish motives, turning a blind eye on the pandemic, focusing solely on his re-election (and keeping his struggling resorts open), Trump led the world in the worst pandemic response with the USA suffering 25% of the worlds deaths. Trumps own negligence, ignorance, malpractice, incomprehensible incoherent performance, ignoring the experts, mocking science, dealing in crackpot conspiracy theories and giving out inaccurate information on a daily basis intensified the severity of the virus. By the end of 2020, Trump made over 2,500 false or misleading statements about the pandemic, turning the White House daily press briefings into a clownish campaign commercial. Even thinking out-loud about injecting disinfectants into the lungs. Imagine that!

In his desperation he spent nearly $8 trillion during his term to "goose the stock market" that gave a modest 65% return in four years, leaving 30 million unemployed, hundreds of thousands business crushed and families destroyed.

Totally shirking his responsibility, he blamed everyone but himself, awarded himself a perfect score of 10 in handling the pandemic.

History will record Trumps Presidency as a march of wanton, uninterrupted, tragic destruction. He torched the country’s standing in the world, loyalty to allies, commitment to democratic values, constitutional checks and balances, faith in reason and science, concern for Earths health, respect for public service, belief in civility and honest debate, aspirations to equality, diversity and basic decency… yet right wing media viewers (the deplorable) see him as the “greatest President in history.”

The mind boggles.

Democracy depends on people who understand the worth and the ways of democracy.  Trump supporters - like their hero - obviously do not.

If the US survives Trump, the immoral pack of GOP oligarchs & right wing media propagandists, the country will definitely need something like the Germans with the “de-Nazi-fication." In the 1940s the Germans were schooled to understand their terrible mistake. The same will be necessary with the Trump addicts. They will need to be “De-Foxed.”

So let me get this straight, since as the conspiracy theorists have stated this is aimed at blacks who are incapable of obtaining a voter ID and now they need outsiders to give them water as well. Apparently the democrats think the blacks aren't capable of much.

All voters need ID and proof of residence to register to vote. Time consuming process.

On Election Day, their names are on the list and checked off when they vote.

If someone attempts to fraudulently vote, it is caught, hence the miniscule voter fraud on record.

The Heritage Foundation Voter Fraud Database, a very conservative think tank performed an extensive study looking to prove the claims of vote fraud over the last 40 years with 168 million registered voters, they found 1,322 instances with 1,146 convictions of fraud out of nearly 4 billion votes...less than 1 fraudulent vote per state per year.

Now you know.

Totally deluded, biased and several false claims.

........ Yet, the misinformed continue to debate the topic. Hilarious.

According to Bloomberg Law, prosecutors across the country found evidence of voter fraud compelling enough to take to court about 200 times since the November 2018 elections, according to a 50-state Bloomberg canvass of state officials.

23 of the states were unable to point to any criminal voting fraud prosecutions.

States controlled by Republicans reported roughly 59 prosecutions.

States controlled by Democrats reported 102 prosecutions.

5 States controlled by Republicans and Democrats accounted for 35 prosecutions.

Despite the escalating claims from former President Donald Trump of rampant misdeeds, nearly all of the instances found by state officials were insignificant infractions during a timeframe when hundreds of millions of people participated in thousands of elections around the country.

Now you know.

So what's the problem with flashing your ID before you vote? What's the big deal?

The current voting methodology has proven very secure & effective according to the facts.

......unless of course you don't believe in facts or logic....or you keep losing the popular vote & trying to suppress the vote.

There is apparently segment of a society that are extremely gullible & believe the voter fraud lies spouted by Trump, the My Pillow guy or political propagandists at Fox.

It's sad they get a vote to be honest.

That's just the problem - nothing has been "proven" either way.

Nobody really knows. How can anything be "found" without a proper search?
