Popular Post ThailandRyan Posted April 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 7, 2021 So they are quarantinning themselves knowing they were possibly exposed to Covid 19, but allowing the people to roam and travel freely starting in just a few days. Does anyone else see this as a problem or better yet an oxymoron? We will travel back to Bangkok from Chiang Mai in the next few days and isolate ourselves just in case we may have been exposed to someone while in Ching Mai, at the airport, or on the airplane flying back from here in Chiang Mai and of course DMK in Bangkok as we will be returning as everyone else starts traveling for Songkhran. Today while traveling by the Chiang Mai Hospital we saw a tent set up with what appeared to be Covid tests being conducted. 5 2

Saksayam was admitted to Buriram Hospital with a high fever on Wednesday and later tested positive. ... Both Saksayam and Supattanapong Punmeechaow, the energy minister, have denied that they visited entertainment venues in Thonglor and Ekkamai districts which is a new epicenter for the virus’ spread in Bangkok. https://www.thaienquirer.com/26192/nine-cabinet-ministers-in-self-quarantine-after-transport-minister-tests-positive/
TallGuyJohninBKK Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 At least 10 Thai ministers, lawmakers self-isolate after COVID-19 contact BANGKOK (Reuters) - At least 10 Thai cabinet ministers and dozens of lawmakers were self-isolating on Wednesday after coming into contact with positive coronavirus cases, amid a sharp increase in infections in the capital Bangkok. Transport Minister Saksiam Chidchob told local television on Wednesday he had tested positive for COVID-19, while his Bhumjaithai Party said other ministers, lawmakers and coalition politicians had been in contact with confirmed cases. Thailand has seen infections jump in the past week, although numbers are still low in comparison to some of its regional neighbours, owing to more than a year of strict border controls, quarantine, testing and contact-tracing protocols. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-thailand/at-least-10-thai-ministers-lawmakers-self-isolate-after-covid-19-contact-idUSKBN2BU0MQ

Golden Triangle Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Would it not be ironic that after all the demonstrations to demand the Prime Minister to resign, that this detested government fell due to their incompetence in dealing with the issue of vaccinating their citizens & it bit them in the ass ???????????? 1

If there was a true Aud Package it might help the lower class and the line workers, but this government has seen to only a little bit of supplementation or stimulus.

We do buy from the street vendors especially the Som Tam vendor as my GF needs her spicy fix with the crab and bala. Yes, these are the folks who work every day. The vendor that sells the Khamon Gai has been sick for a few days and her husband has taken over while she gets better thats what he told my GF. Of course that was before we left and flew to Chiang Mai 4 days ago. They are the folks that won't go to the hospital and only use the pharmacy for medicine. Edited April 7, 2021 by ThailandRyan 3

snoop1130 Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 At risk cabinet ministers refrain from attending cabinet meeting, observe 14-day quarantine BANGKOK (NNT) - The fresh COVID-19 outbreak in Bangkok has spread to different areas and sectors, including political circles. MPs have isolated themselves and refrained from attending parliamentary meetings. Some cabinet ministers, who are at risk, have had to suspend their duties to observe the 14-day quarantine. Transport Minister, Saksayam Chidchob, is one such minister, after a transport official tested positive for the virus. Mr. Saksayam had already received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and was to receive the second dose today (Apr 7). However, he was admitted to Buri Ram Hospital this morning, after his body temperature rose to 38 degrees Celsius. He tested positive for COVID-19. Mr. Saksayam and a group of officials attended a merit-making ceremony and a Bhumjaithai Party meeting yesterday. All 61 Bhumjaithai MPs have entered quarantine and have not attended parliamentary meetings, to show their sense of social responsibility. The Bhumjaithai MPs, including Tourism and Sports Minister, Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, and Chairwoman of the Advisory Board to Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, Natee Ratchakitprakarn, traveled to Bamrasnaradura Infectious Disease Institute to be tested today. Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister, Chalermchai Sri-on, also went to the institute, after he attended the Bhumjaithai Party’s merit-making ceremony and had been in close contact with Mr. Saksayam. Education Minister, Trinuch Thienthong, is also quarantined, after a person, who later tested positive for COVID-19, came to congratulate her on the day she reported to work. Ms. Trinuch’s test result was negative. Deputy Prime Minister, Prof. Dr. Wissanu Krea-ngam, and Deputy Minister of Education, Kanokwan Wilawan, are now isolating, as both ministers attended a meeting with Ms. Trinuch on April 5. In addition, three deputy ministers reported that they will not join the cabinet meeting today. They include Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Capt. Thamanat Prompow, Deputy Minister of Labor, Dr. Narumon Pinyosinwat, and Deputy Minister of Education, Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich. Today, the cabinet meeting was held via video conference. The venue was relocated from Santi Maitri Building to Command Building 1 at Government House, Bangkok. Results of the meeting will be posted on the ThaigovSpokesman Facebook page. Meanwhile, the extraordinary parliamentary session, to consider the referendum bill in the second reading today, will not be attended by Bhumjaithai MPs or some Democrat Party MPs who joined the Bhumjaithai’s merit-making ceremony. MPs and Senators, who met with the Japanese Ambassador to Thailand, attended the session, after completing their 14-day quarantine. The ambassador has tested positive for COVID-19. The meeting continued as planned, with President of the National Assembly, Chuan Leekpai, instructing officials to step up disease-control measures and legislators to be tested before attending the meeting. -- © Copyright NNT 2021-04-07 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

Now because of shear stupidity and greed thousands are about to get very ill and die. Another repeat of Trump and his brain cooked followers.
