Popular Post webfact
Picture: Daily News Thailand's notorious southern island of Koh Tao in Surat Thani is back in the news again. Yesterday two extremely wealthy Thais of Indian heritage were found drowned in a luxury hotel pool. Police have initially determined it was a tragic accident. Their son found the bodies after he went for a walk. Local police chief Pol Col Kriangkrai Kraikaew got a call from staff at Koh Tao Hospital after the bodies were found. They were 59 year old Ragess Sajjathammakun and his wife Anchu, 55. (Thaivisa notes the names are transliterated from Thai and may be incorrect in some respects). Daily News reported that they were the owners of a five star hotel in Phuket and plastics factories in Rayong and Prachinburi. The were billionaires. Their son Ratich, 34, found the bodies. He said he had come with his parents to Koh Tao on holiday. He had gone for a walk on the beach and his mother and father had gone to the hotel pool. When he returned he found them floating. He alerted the hotel staff and the hospital but when they were retrieved they were already dead. Pol Col Kriangkrai said there was no sign of assault or a struggle. He thought it was most likely that one of the pair had got into trouble in the pool while the other went into help and was unable to do so with the result that both subsequently drowned. Investigations continue. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-06-05 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 8 7

Hope they have some video of the pool area to find the truth. 34

Police we have come in contact have been extremely helpful and dedicated in their jobs and responsibility. Had 2 occasions being involved with the corrupt police here, first time a senior policeman accepted money and got me jailed, second time serious road accident, police involved lied about how it happened. 104 12

Just ask around with the locals, read the news, do your research the RTP are amongst the most corrupt in the world. The only people that say other wise are those that work hand in glove with them in their underhand sidelines. Popular Post OneMoreFarang
It's interesting how many people here jump to conclusions. Do you have any information other than your wild fantasy to support your ideas? If not then I suggest stay quiet and don't speculate why people you didn't know died? 16 2 1 5
Popular Post WineOh
Why would anyone go to Koh Tao? We all know which family runs that place. However, if you like a garden hoe put to your head after a meal then maybe this is the place for you! Edited June 5, 2021 by WineOh 7 3
Popular Post SlyAnimal
You haven’t been here long then? To know about Koh Tao? As while most policemen in Thailand are just regular guys doing their job, and happy to accept a little money to not do their job, the police in tourist areas often have terrible records on corruption. Koh Tao police have the worst reputation due to the Koh Tao murders a few years ago. During which it seemed like a couple of Burmese guys were setup as patsies & confessions were elicited from them via torture. They were ultimately sentenced to death. The island’s mafia and the police there have a reputation. 29

Seriously, maybe electrical fault in pool lighting for example, and both electrocuted. There better be an autopsy. ????
