Rapid Greening of Antarctica: Scientists Alarmed by Climate Change Impact
Talking of dinosaurs your racist post flags you as one. Hate to break this to ya but many, if not most of the Muslims in USA or Europe were born there. You just didn't think that one through did ya? -

A typical week on Thailand's roads
The old Seinfeld TV show had an episode 'opposite George' where that character chose the opposite of his instincts. Maybe that's the way to ride/drive to survive here - think 'what would a Thai do?' and do the opposite. A vehicle ahead does not mean you must overtake/undertake it. See this so often, a driver just has to get past as if it's a race (to their finish sometimes) I just hang back, let them go. And leave plenty of space in case they do cause a crash. My daughter has referred to my driving as 'like a turtle' no doubt compared to her death-defying risk-taking uni friends. Even allowing for the age gap, expect I'll outlive a few of them. -

One year extension, 12 monthly deposits, Khon Kaen
No quarrel there. The point my agent was trying to make was that instead of some months being 67K THB and some months being 110K THB, to standardize what I transfer to give the appearance of a "regular" amount being transferred in from a pension. Hence my comment that I'll just do 65K and change for future transfers. (I surmise that in someone's train of thought - whether immigration officers or my agent - a number that is consistent over time is easier to correlate with a pension payment. Dunno.) -

Could do with some support and advice here ?
You need to change your own attitude, Stop being confrontational, stop arguing, no mansplaining. If you're really even tempered and fairly placid, she won't be able to pick fights. I've learned to do all that, and it makes our cultural differences much easier to manage. We were the same age as you and your misses when we married, 15 years on and it's great. -

Thailand's Cashless Leap: Ahead of the Asean Pack by 2028
You quoted somebody else, tagging me as though I said that. I did not. Although, I agree with the sentiment, of course BTC is not about to replace the banks. But, I'm not sure if I'm understanding your statement re BTC being impossible to become a globally used peer to peer electronic cash. Either you have no idea what BTC is, or somehow I'm misunderstanding your statement. BTC is exactly a globally used peer to peer electronic cash! I did a transaction today, as a matter of fact, with a friend thousands of miles away.... Sounds like maybe a miracle happened? I experienced the "impossible"?? This friend travels all over the world (digital nomad), frequently paying for his flights, meals, and hotels with BTC. Seems like the impossible happens regularly! Amazing.... -

Is Thailand Value for money
Just because the fact that prices rise for good reasons with certain industries, services and products, in certain countries, does not mean it is automatically true or justified everywhere. This also applies to Thailand, the changes are far more than what has anything to do with prices increasing. I know for a fact dozens of places that still pay the same rent, put at least half the amount of chicken or pork in dishes, while charging near double the prices, all this while the overall cost of other aspects such was gas, ingredients and wages, are maybe justifying a 20% price increase. That means a 40 baht meal should now be around 50 baht. The same with coffee, let's say the cost price has increased by like 10 baht per cup, just random figure, they increase the prices here by 30-40 baht. To compensate on having less customers as a result of earlier radical price increases. Not buying into that, specially not if i know that I can be served the same thing in like south europe, while people there, even with poor wages, earn much more than Thai staff do, and pay more for rent, utilities and ingredients too. Please explain that to start with, you would notice very soon it doesn't make any sense how things are priced in Thailand. Even I can easily afford everything X3-5 in Thailand, doesn't mean i am very pleased with it, specially knowing that the quality and service lacks on top of all this. And often quality is inconsistent as well. I know when I am being taken for a ride. -

No...are you being deliberately obtuse? How does 14g + 9g equal 20g? Don't be stupid now. Remember that the 14g is YOUR figure. I only accepted it for the sake of argument, but USDA say: Protein 25.8g Total lipid (fat)17.8g Ash 1g Beef, ground, 80% lean meat / 20% fat, patty, cooked, broiled https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/fdc-app.html#/food-details/171797/nutrients So in reality we are at 26.8g just for the patty and cheese. I was closer at 20g than your 14g, so perhaps you can stop playing the fool. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
Take a step back… Do you honestly believe that you paying for goods & services in Thailand with a credit card is not the same as you remitting money to pay for those services? The rest of it is about whether the funds used to pay of the credit card is assessable or not.- 1
