More over-promising and under-delivering.  Just as we saw with the promises for Siam Bioscience's timelines and production levels.  In the end a bitter disappointment that the government apparently couldn't see coming and didn't prepare for.

 

Each day confidence in the government's ability to deal with this situation erodes.  Really, it shouldn't be this difficult. I'm worried that with the limited shelf life and temperature sensitivity of the Pfizer vaccine a significant portion will be wasted while the government tries to figure out how to distribute AFTER the vaccines arrive.  Even worse would be if they inject mishandled vaccines anyway just to keep the numbers up. I wish this was hyperbole....

Well it seems things have gotten to the point where even the governors he appointed won't lie on cue and say cases are going down in their province. The beginning of the end I guess. The puppet master is likely to get rid of these thugs before he goes down with them. Time to bring back the Shinns!

Prayuth is, therefore, talking through his bottom if he thinks his pronouncements are reassuring to the people.

1 month has 30 days, without the weekends still about 22 days.. 1 million jabs a day x 22 days is 22 million in a month.. How can he do that with 10 million vaccines?? Magic/??

The situation will properly not improve anytime soon and here is why:

 

As the rich countries have vaccinated most of their population, low-income countries have not.
 

This means new stronger variants will properly turn up in those countries, which will then travel back to the rich countries and require re-vaccinations there. And the low-income countries will again be behind.

 

And so the circle will continue for years to come.

If i am correct even the UK only managed average about 500, 000 to 600,000 doses a day. Peak about 800,000 for short periods.

Most developed countries can only achieve at peak about 1 dose per 100 people in population ( usa included) ie 700,000 here.

I have a very simple philosophy to be applied to economic crisis and pandemics.

 

Economic crisis, first the companies and individuals go bust, then the banks, then the Gov't. Then you have anarchy.

 

Pandemic crisis; The sick multiply, fatalities increase, hospitals cannot cope, morgues cannot cope and overflow. Then you have anarchy.

Yes, that's what happens when you pull figures from thin air. It's hard to explain discrepancies. But plus minus 200%, who's counting...

Just spoke to my friend in LA. He went to the Costco parking lot, and got both a Covid test, and a Pfizer jab for free. No lines, no waiting. Done in 15 minutes.
