Looks a good job ????

I certainly wouldn't take on a job like that alone, I have a very good family member who can turn his hand to steel and concrete work, I'm effectively his labourer although I'm also the structural engineer.

Nice to see I'm not the only one who has a proper scaffolding tower ????

Well. I did my and the wife's 2020 US taxes, and showed my boy how to do his.

AND got half the new grounded wiring we installed in the "Penthouse" last week tied in. A little paint to be touched-up but it came out well.

Second half tomorrow if all goes well...

Replaced the front bearing on the pool pump which became noisy 1 month outside warranty and a week later went quiet because it seized! New bearing 90 Baht from the farm shop, replacement a couple of hours of farang swearing (I really must buy a puller - like I said I would last time a pump went belly-up).

I had cause to replace another pump bearing today.

This time I went and bought a puller!! :whistling:

How'd it work? So much junk around it's hard to get a decent one anymore....

It did the job just fine, the bearing had an overnight soak with penetrating oil.

"Pro-Best" brand 4" three-jaw, hardly Snap-On quality but for occasional use just fine. And at 219 Baht from Mega-Home definitely not Snap-On price either.

Not a weekend, but a Public Holiday counts.

I finally got fed up with pumping up the pressure tank on our Grundfoss pump (it had a slow leak in the liner).

Not being enamoured with the price of a genuine Grundfoss tank I got one on Lazada, 1,400 Baht

https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i2332955878-s7893630468.html

It very conveniently arrived yesterday, I had already soaked the old one's threads with penetrating oil so it only needed relatively mild application of the lump hammer/spanner combination to get it moving.

Amerkem "Type 51" pipe compound on the threads of the new one and it screwed on easy.

Amazing how smooth the water flow is now.

I thought about changing the oil and filter on my Honda CB300F.

Did manage to fit a new battery, as it wouldn't start.

Had the tools, 1.6l oil, filter .........

Then drove along to the old m/c repair guy along the road and handed him all the parts.

Including oiling the chain and pumping the tires he wanted 70bht ........ so I gave him 100bht.

Not worth getting my hands dirty.

Next week I will think about changing the battery on my Honda Click 125i (doesn't start either).

Already ordered it from Lazada.

Washed/vacuumed the  pick up then polished it, jet washed 150  metres  of my road, found why the water  in my well stopped  working, ( staff  pulled the plug  out) duh

Washed  all my bed  clothes, cleaned the house, stripped the jet wash handle as it went very  sloppy on the trigger  pull, then stripped  out the spray head and polished it to get a spray without  lines, concreted  the road  outside the land about 200 metres a s  full  of  holes and  doubt anything will be  done about that by the jokeals. Although that was thrusday Friday only

Today's Tiny Task!

After changing the water pump pressure tank the shower became weak and the water heater shut off on overheat which worried me somewhat.

Of course it was coincidence, the shower filter screen was bunged up. I de-scaled the shower head too.
