Daily News reported that the person who robbed a gold shop in Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima in Thailand's north east, dressed in Food Panda delivery clothes is in fact a police corporal.

 

The man had gone into the Petch Thong Yaowarat gold shop in Big C and shot the owner who resisted. He then made off with 126 baht weight of gold worth 3.5 million baht on a motorcycle.

 

ASEAN NOW earlier reported the initial details that were scanty and resulted in much conjecture.

 

Sources at the police station told the media that following the robbery when officers looked at CCTV they thought it might be a colleague.

 

It looked like his body shape and the walking style looked resembled him.

 

Twenty five year old police corporal Anucha Bun-arak was called in and soon admitted it was him dressed in balaclava, sun glasses and pink Food Panda clothes. 

 

The media said the police were in the process of finding the loot and the getaway motorcycle earlier reported as a Honda Wave 110i.

 

They had pictures of a gold chain that appeared to have been discarded in a pot containing a plant and water. 

 

The media went with the expression "charming" about the case, an expression used by some English speakers to refer to something that is anything but.

 

They also had a picture of the shot male victim who is the owner of the store.

My wife  saw this on the news last night and straight away said he was a policeman ! I said I thought not there's no way to tell dressed in the pink panda suit  but she was right..she's often right ????

I love the juxtaposition of this article with the one above.  Doesn't really help with the issue of confidence to trust the police force or give me a warm fuzzy feeling.  They are all bent.

Since when did the RTP serve the people? This country has always been a police state and is now totally run by corrupt police and military. Sadly most people just shrug & say "what can we do" instead of taking to the streets in mass action.

Keystone cops break out of lockdown! maybe this has been caused by orders not to fine the public for not wearing helmets, as they no have money, thus creating a severe shortage of lunch funds .

A very cruel guy.  I used to know a young Thai Chinese guy who ran a gold shop in Samut Prakarn with his sister.  The reason why he ran the gold shop at a young age was because his father had been murdered by a robber in the shop in this way.  The family just continued because the gold shop was a good living and and they didn't know what other business to do.  But you never know when you or a family member or staff will get murdered or maimed by a <deleted> like this bent cop.

 

I guess he will get a light sentence due to his stellar police service.

So I guess he'll be back to work tomorrow morning, only now tasked with delivering all the other cop's lunches.

Panda shirt had the same tight fit as the prestigious brown one, couldn't hide the paunch.
