Popular Post webfact
Thailand’s Mor Prom app will be expanded to include the vaccination data and COVID-19 status of passengers who take domestic flights. On Wednesday (Sept 9), the Ministry of Public Health, Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) and Airlines Association of Thailand (AAT) reached an agreement for a ‘Digital Health Pass’ to be used by the airline industry in Thailand. According to the Ministry of Public Health, the Mor Prom or ‘Doctors Ready’, which was initially used for people to book vaccine appointments, will be expanded to include vaccination details, COVID test results and a record of disease infections of passengers. The Digital Health Pass will be used for domestic flights and will be introduced soon, officials said, without being specific. Sathit Pitutecha, deputy public health minister said the use of the ‘Digital Health Pass’ will help to ensure a ‘COVID free setting’ for domestic travellers in Thailand. A graphic included in the press release on the Ministry of Public Health website indicated the ‘Digital Health Pass’ would be used by 7 domestic airlines in Thailand, including Bangkok Airways, Thai Smile, AirAsia and Air Asia X, Nok Air, Lion Air and Vietjet Air. It wasn’t clear what the introduction of the Digital Health Pass would mean for people who choose not to receive a COVID-19 vaccine and their ability to be able to take domestic flights in Thailand. Popular Post samtam
And for international flights? Has anyone been on an international flight and what did they use to prove their vaccination? Vaccine Passports are not recognised unless the destination country has joined the scheme, (Vaccine Passport Agreement), so not surprisingly, it seems to be a bit of a muddle.

Popular Post 4MyEgo
Anything digital for proof will be a no no for me, I'm old school, no one can hack my papers as proof of being vaccinated, take it or leave it. 9 2

With any luck this is going to another one of these things which after a great deal of fanfare, announcements and load of vinyl posters it all goes quiet and nothing is enforced. I already foresee and issue whereby those who are fully vaccinated overseas cannot get there vaccines approved locally with the 'digital health pass’ and we may see a situation where people who’ve entered Thailand via the Sandbox on the basis of being vaccinated being refused air-travel because they don’t have the ‘digital health pass’... 6 3

Last week - part of the CoE process was to submit the Vaccination Certification. The Vaccine Certification along with all other documents were required at Check-In. IATA have a ‘Travel Pass’ which they are trying to push - It would make sense for every country to adopt an internationally recognised ‘format’ or App, but each country is still going to want its ‘own version’.
Greenwich Boy
You can be old school and get a vaccine passport for 50 Baht. Nice little paper book with name, passport number and vaccination details on it. As it is issued by the govt. should be good enough for domestic check in. Most of my jabbed ferang mates have them. 1

What does a "Vaccination Certification" look like? I have dose 1 on my Mor Prom app, and after dose 2, I will get a digital certificate, (which if necessary, I could print out). Is that it? Also, my understanding is that the COE is for ENTRY into Thailand. I'm wondering about EXIT from Thailand. What do you have to show to the airline check-in for proof of vaccination? Would it be the Mor Prom digital/hard copy certificate? What have travellers exiting Thailand had to show? (I'm assuming if what you show is accepted at check-in here, and you board the flight, you are not going to have an issue at your destination, upon arrival.) Popular Post adam1
if both the vaxxed and unvaxxed can get and transmit covid, what is the point of a vax pass ? 17 1 2 3
IamNoone88
For domestic foreign passengers quite useless - 100% in Thai language, unless you can read and write Thai of course.

That's going to be troublesome, in both directions. I'm in the process of getting vaccinated in Thailand, so the Thai certificate won't be a problem for me. But back home, the EU's version of a digital health pass is needed to visit restaurants and such, and it remains to be seen if/how I'll be able to get that when traveling there.

DFPhuket
I’m on a retirement extension and was vaccinated with Pfizer in the US before returning to Phuket as a sandboxer. I uploaded my CDC card for my COE and that was fine. Even though Thailand has proof of my vaccination, I’m confident the designers of this new app will not factor in these kinds of situations when developing the app.
